First, if the senior citizen's spouse is still alive, there is not much choice except the Senior Citizen's Organisation in the neighbourhood. Otherwise if the senior citizen is widowed or divorced, then he can visit dating sites just like young or middle-aged people do. Any place is a rich source of possible dates, the malls, restaurants, hotels, church, shops, even the Internet. An old man should have no problem in picking up dates, assuming that at this late stage he has learned the technique of approaching women -- even those much younger women. This is an important skill that an old man should have learned or even mastered at this time.

I agree several places like the Moose, Elk, Eagles, K of C and Legion have dinner and dances for older people which are a nice way to meet someone.Usually, if you let your friends know, they can always find someone to fix you up with. But, I met my current companion online. Look at how many of us seniors have computers nowadays.I was beginning to think the computer was my companion. LOL

With limited Dates(life span ) left with them, they are quite conservative about it.O.K.if they are out on a date ,had a nice dinner ,a movie, may be some shopping and what's next?Well, next to nothing. It's not a proposition with a real good value for their money. For other companionship, they are in great demand as house-watchers,baby sitters ,daily needs shoppers or for anything for which no person worth his while is ready to spend his/her time.Call it companionship or anything else but it's real name is 'Loneliness'.

My dad used to hang out at the local American Legion post and the Elks before he got sick this last time. They have dinners and dances and all sorts of things. Though my dad wasn't interested in dating, some of his friends did get together that way with someone.

Church, Senior Centers, Malls, look in the local paper and check to see what different things are going on in your area - there will be different types of events in your area going on all the time - see what you are interested in and go there, I am sure there are other people of your age there that are interested in those same things......go and mingle and have a great time......

GOOD LUCK....and enjoy

Church but not really for dating. Don't know how I would cope with a date now? Only if it is someone I know.
