SIMPLY Because they DON'T "Follow" Jehovah's CHRISTIAN Witnesses "Sterling Xample" And (REFUSE) To Involve Themselves in NATIONALISTIC Wars that Are Usually SUPPORTED and BACKED Up by the "Religions" of a Certain Country !

The problem is that most religion DOES NOT promote peace. Most religion promotes subordination of free will and some sort of physical or mental slavery. Even today's religions are this way. Religions may use the concept of peace to sell itself, but what it promotes is something else entirely.
Having said that, today's religions are more peaceful. However, today's religions are what's left, and in no way represent "most religions". Most religions are dead, having fallen upon their corruptness and implied slavery.
Impose on another's freedom and war becomes imminent.
I think this answers the trailing "conflicts and wars" part of the question.

Well the Bible says, "Blessed are the peace makers," but I cannot argue with your statement. History truly shows that a lot of war, a lot of hostility has been done in the name of religion. I being a Christian cannot agrue that point one bit and will not make excuses for it. But at the same time as a Christian I am responsible for how I think, how I act and perceive things, not how others have behaved in the past. I see what scriptures says and tells us how to act; so it is not my fault if others rebel against it.
And it certainly is not my fault if other religions have hostile words in their holy books that create anger in them.

Wars come from people not religions.
Where in the Qur'an does it specifically say fight AMERICA
Where in the Bible does it specifically say fight Muslims.
Why do Buddists fight Muslims
Why do Hindus Fight Muslims
Why do Jews fight Arabs
Israel is not about Religion, the jews only have 7 seats in Parliament.
All they asked is that El Al not fly Friday Night through Saturday Night.
What does that have to do with Arabs!
Arabs AGREE WITH THEM ON THAT ONE!
Why do the English hate Hajibs if they aren't faithful Angelicans anymore!
Does the English hatred of Hajibs indicate they are RELIGIOUS.

Why hate HAJIBS if you are so DARN SECULAR
Maybe the English aren't as SECULAR as they think they are!
Maybe the FRENCH aren't either!

They can do what they want here, so long as it isn't blowing up things!
Why are HAJIBS not an ISSUE in CHRISTIAN AMERICA but they ARE and ISSUE in SECULAR ENGLAND AND AUSTRALIA

In America we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD (not Allah) and IN GOD WE TRUST (not In ALLAH WE TRUST) yet we have NO GREAT PROBLEM WITH HAJIBS!

WE swear Federal Officials in on the QURAN if they want, does ENGLAND!

Most Religion does not promote Peace! God's Word the Bible promotes Peace, but most religions do not follow the Bible, although they do profess to follow the Bible they do not, the god of the world satan promotes things against the true God of the Bible and most people follow him, rather than the true God much to their detriment!(2Corinthians4:4)

Short answer: most religions talk out of both sides of their mouth. They may proclaim to be peaceful, but just look at their attitudes and actions and you'll often find violent tendencies. (Ancient example: the Inquisition. Modern example: permitting torture and "rendition").
On a good note: to my knowledge, Buddhists have never initiated anything comparable to the Crusades or Jihad. They may be somewhat more enlightened.

because in order to practise their imbibed form of peace have you read the bible recently .. it's not like it's a friendly read the words are all stunted doesn't exactly flow of the tip of the tongue does it... know.
in fact in most religions people have to be specifically trained in order to read and translate it's meaning.. you'd think if the guy knew anything he'd of at least been able to make his teachings comprehensive...

truth is the BOR-ING-NESS that is religion needs funding in order to preach ... hence the preach to work hard and conscientiously appears so much in the sermons. and it's constant co -elition with government manipulation.

Warlike people want an excuse, religion makes a good one. During WWII an American noticed the belt buckles on the Germans that said (in German of course) "God is with us." If I didn't believe that god was on our side (the righteous ones) why would I fight. In Ireland two christian groups are fighting--Catholic vs Protestant.
No they're not, it's a cultural battle. I believe that if there is a god then god would probably want them to stop fighting.

People are naturally extremely protective about their beliefs. Religion dosnt start wars, its when ppl cant accept that others exist who dont agree with them, and that not everything is black and white. These ppl are the ones who start wars while the rest of us shake our heads.
