I have heard it all about we are not under the old laws, and I have read the dream Paul had I do not inturpet it to mean we should eat unclean animals.. Jesus did not come so we can eat pig. It is a law for our own good so we will remain healty and clean. Just as sabbath is for our own good. God knows we will over work ourself. and others.so he commands us to rest and eat well.Why do people have a hard time with this it is not that hard to do and It helps us remain healthy I dont get it. Please dont give me smart answers about how I dont read my bible . this site would not exist without peoples interpertations being different than others. this is how we ended up with religion

is it just me or do any other muslims and muslimas find the person that they feel they could spend the rest of their life with on the internet but due to distance and lack of funds to travel to such far away places keeps those of us from our love in this life but not the next.

Im always thinking about this type of things that some pple just dont think off i mean heres my theory (some young aldut from yahoo anshwers ) what if god was came from anothere part in the univerce were there so adavace that they discover how to mix genes and make creatures and desided too make us on this wonderfull planet ""GOD"" the founder of all this......he made us with hes big brains were he comes there just soo adavace they have powers like turning invisible and check this out they some how have your genes already soo when you die they know who u were and bring u back to liev when u die....this would explin how god was made..he pro just anothere product of the unvicere....the big bang created the univerce...and othere humans pretty much master techonolygy way before us and wanted to take it to anothere evel by created us....''god'' the master of all this......wich in a way this theory will still pretty much make sence..everything in the bibble will be riight....

My Pastor stood in front of the entire congregation last sunday, and told us if we did not obey God and give one tenth of our earnings. We will not go to heaven. Before he said it. He was acting like he was receiving that message from God. I couldn't help but to question what I had seen and heard. Am I wrong for questioning my Pastor? I just don't believe that me not being a 100% tither is going to hender me........Is It???? Am I wrong?? I know that the church building needs support from it members to keep functioning, and I give either what I have at the time or what I can. Last Sunday my pastor had everyone who tithed 100% to stand. The reason was. He wanted to do a special prayer for them. When he told them to raise their hands I raised mine too, because I felt he was trying to prove a point by seperating the two. I didn't think it was right for him to do that. If your going to pray for us, pray for all of us. Not just the members who tithe 100%. So again I ask... Am I Wrong????

when he was on the cross? It was total humiliation that they were interested in so I do not doubt that he was naked on the cross but, I also know that there is a piece of Scripture that talks about it being sinful to look upon your Father's naked body, so I do not put it past Mary to have done this as she was every bit aware of Scripture as the other men, she had the Scriptures written on her heart I believe.

There's a gentleman who lives in a small town east of San Diego. He had his 98th birthday in July. I was concerned about his safety and just learned he is safe and has moved in with his grand-daughter since there was no power at his home.
BTW, his name is John Finn. He's the last surviving Medal of Honor winner from the Pearl Harbor attack!

I'm not saying that everyone who is religious is dumb. But I have noticed that a lot of people who are really smart try to figure out the scientific reasoning behind life, and don't see religion or a God as the right answer.
At the same time, I have noticed lots of average intelligent people who are simple minded and blindly follow religion just because they were told to do so. And they never stop to actually question their beliefs.

For the most part, this applies to people in general. But I have met people who were smart, but kind of simple minded and they blindly followed a religion anyway. And I have seen dumber people who weren't religious, but then again, that was because that is all they were shown, so there wasn't really any thought process behind that either.

Does it make Christians uncomfortable with the idea that heaven is seriously lacking in racial balance?

Hardly any Chinese, Japanese, Native Americans, Maori, or Indians? What about Ancient Greeks or Egyptians? How about everybody who lived in America prior to 1492?

If you went to heaven in the year 1500, it would be composed entirely of Europeans?

Here are three teachings of Jesus, quoted from the New International Version of the Bible:

1. In Matthew 5:39, Jesus says:
"do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."

2. In Matthew 5:28-30, Jesus says:
"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."

3. In Mark 10:17-22, when a rich man asks what he must do in order to go to heaven, Jesus tells him:
"sell everything you have and give to the poor."

But most Christians don't follow any of these teachings?
Why not?
