is it just me or do any other muslims and muslimas find the person that they feel they could spend the rest of their life with on the internet but due to distance and lack of funds to travel to such far away places keeps those of us from our love in this life but not the next.

Umm, I guess we'll easily find that kinda person in this world.
And, I think all people ever face condition when they love a person but there are so many difficulties to get the person that they love. distance and lack of funds just some examples, and there are many problem can come.
and like what atbt said:

Muslims should do their best to get what they want (as long as their will is not forbidden in Islam) and pray to Allah.
then after have effort, and pray, then they should be tawakkal, give it back to Allah to decide what's the best for them, and sabar, have patience when they don't get what they want, have faith that everything that Allah gave is the best for them.

Yes of course your idea is good You can strengthen your relationship through the internet.You can conract among them easily.If you did not lknow you could not love someone
.Through this yahoo com you get more friends and you can spread out salam as a good muslim to our brothers and sisters through out the world.Where there is will there is away.There are more ways to Rome..Please drive the nail again and again until you succeed at last..Salam for you dear brother..

Its probably because its easier to find a partner through the Internet than in person because of what the Quran says about the mingling of the sexes.

humm tuff one...i thought once that i was falling for someone on line. and i did feel torn. between what i thought my heart wanted and what was my reality.
but i am married and i forget about that brother. we still take from time to time. but even our conversations have changed. he knows that i am married and now we talk as friends; but every once in awhile.
