Now, IF the sacrifice means giving your best, fattest lamb, rabbit, or whatever, to be killed in the name of God and the meat given to the hungry, THEN animal sacrifice makes sense.

God always teaches by illustration !!! His teaching is a very serious matter !!! And He wants us to get the point !!! Take note that Jesus Christ had died on the cross !!! The answer to the illustration is that something innocent has to die in the place of the guilty !!! Adam and Eve had sinned in the garden didn't they !!! God covered them with the hide of animals !!! God Himself killed His own creation to have the hide of animals cover their sin !!! Have you got the point yet !!! There is more !!!
Rom 5:8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[1John 1:8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[1John 1:9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[Rom 10:9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[Rom 10:10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[Mat 10:32] Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven
iF YOU HAVE TOLD A MINISTER THAT YOU HAVE DONE THE ABOVE YOU ARE NOW READY TO ATTEND ANY CHURCH THAT LOVES JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOUR !!! GOD BLESS YOU IN YOUR QUEST TO KNOW GOD !!!

I guess it depends on what he did with them afterwards.
I myself find great pleasure in the burning of innocent animals. I call it BBQ steak.
