In the apartment above me, there are two people that my sister is best friends with: Ray and Renessa. My sis was the one that got them to buy the apartment. (they are 20 and 21), and they work late nights so I can hear them stomp up the stairs at 3 AM. They play wicked loud music all the time and I can't concentrate on homeowrk, or sleep.

Alot of people will qoute the bible word for word,
but everyone agrees the bible cannot be read word for word.
The best example of this was the apple of eden was infact traced back to simply being refered to as a 'fruit', most scholars now a days agree it was most likely a fig.
My understanding is the bible has been translated through dozens of languages before America, by numerous people..

doesnt it seem safe to say alot of each 'origional work' would be lost in each language transition?

Is it okay not to bring a gift to a baby shower if you are the host??
My SIL is due to have her baby in december. I am hosting the baby shower for her along with my other sister. Is it okay to not bring a gift to the shower, because we are the hosts or do we still need to bring something? I don't want people talking about how we didn't get her a present...but she is family and I really don't think that she is going to mind. With her child being born so close to christmas...we were going to pool our money together for a crib and stroller as Christmas gifts. I've always given a gift at any other shower I hosted, but I just can't afford much else at the present time. What is the etiquette on hosting and gift giving? Thanks

Please, I have always wanted to know how it is some people just know exactly what people were thinking when they gave a thumbs down to their answer. From my understanding, the thumbs down is anonymous. Unless you are psychic, I don't see how anyone could know what that person's motivation was.

So WHY do people keep asking questions like "Why do people thumbs down just because they don't agree with you?"

HOW THE ---- DO YOU KNOW WHAT PEOPLE WERE THINKING WHEN THEY GAVE THE THUMBS DOWN?

H O W?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Ok im a high school guy in chicago that has a thing for interacial dating and i find that whenever im in school i can easily get white girls but when i go out and i try to hit on a white girl thay laugh and seem not interested

I've posted two "questions" today on this issue, and the responses were lacking in understanding regarding deceptions and those who deceive.

This is a very important topic, and Scripture warns against false teachers and those who would teach damnable heresies.

But it looks like all too many are complacent in their beliefs, thinking they cannot be deceived.

Either study the subject, or suffer the consequences. It is much easier to deceive and be deceived than you can imagine.
