I'm just curious. Also, can any practitioners reccomend a website or resource that may provide more in depth information?

Also, any brimstoners who started salivating when you saw the headline, please click past without proselytizing (look it up), as I already know what you think.

I am a black person, and i was wondering why we have to act so ignorant. PLEASE no RACIAL COMMENTS

but still, why? Why do we have to make up a large percentage of poor people in America. Why do we choose to have artificial dreams like going to the NBA, instead of wanting to be a doctors and lawyers. Why do our parents have to raise their children like retarded animals that care nothing of education. Why are we sagging our pants and talking like we Ebonics. It's bad when the white man has to make up some sort of dialect just to name what the heck we are speaking. Why are we raising our young women to look like prostitutes. Why are we raising our men to be unsupportive fathers? Why do we not value education? WHY WHY WHY???

(some of us do act like we have sense, but why do our fellow brothers and sisters have to act this way?)

I'm in a rough spot right now, I'm starting to open up about my BDSM tendencies and am in BDSM support groups to hlp me cope with them. It's very hard for me because the Church does not seem to have an official stance on BDSM and the many priests I have talked to don't even know what it is.

I would very much like to remain Catholic but don't know if the 2 worlds can co-exist. It's very hard because BDSM is still way to taboo and nobody really knows or wants to talk about it in the open. By the way, it's not as uncommon as most people think.

Is there any sources or info that i could go to to find other Catholics involved in the BDSM world or find anything on what the Church has to say about it?

My husband and I are invited to dinner by one of his co-workers. I've never met him, or his family before.

What should I take with me?

Note 1: I've never been invited to dinner by Americans before - this is my first time. I don't want to take something which is culturally acceptable for me and not acceptable for them. I also don't want to go empty handed.

Note 2: No drinks please!!!

Jehovah's witnesses are the only religion in the world that is not involved in politics, they preach throughout the earth, they show genuine love for one another, they accept Jesus as their savior, they make Jehovah's name known, they base their teachings strictly on the bible, they preach that God's kingdom is mankind's only hope.

If you do believe that prayer actually causes events to happen, why do you believe that? How can you believe that? Forgive my bluntness, but that just sounds like make believe to me. Believing that wishing and hoping actually causes events to occur is a very magical way of thinking. Am I looking at prayer incorrectly or missing the point?

I know there are good kids here and there, but what I want to know is why I see so many kids that are just awful. They're brats that have no respect for elders and feel they are owed their hearts' desires. Why do you think this is so common?

Well, I just recently started (yesterday) walking to my room nude after I shower. Well, normally my mom is out in the family room, and my room is in the other part of the house, so I have to pass her. My mom says she's okay with it. So I walk past her, and she closes her eyes, as I have gone skinny dipping before, and I told her to close her eyes when I was out of the pool (I have better self-esteem now.). I told her that I didn't care if she saw, so she just "Really? Ok." and just walked by. Is this normal of me to do this?

What I am mainly questioning is the statement that a Jotun (giant) is also Vanir and BOTH fight against the Aesir at Ragnarok...?

There were three types of giant:

Normal giants
Fire giants
Frost giants

The giants were all part of the Vanir and so against the Aesir, and at the time of Ragnarok, would cross over Bifrost and break it. They would fight against Odin and the other Aesir at Vigrid. The normal giants lived in Jotunheim, the fire giants lived in Muspelheim, and the frost giants lived in Niflheim.

The bible gives us an age of the universe at around 5,000 years old; yet astronomy, biology, geology, and nuclear physics all give us ages in the billions of years. Is there a high percentage of Christians that don't believe the scientific community's age of the universe?

I heard this once at least 40 years ago and still remember it. Here's to a woman that beautiful vine, who blooms once a month and bears once in 9--the only creature this side of hell that can get the goody from a nut without breaking the shell. If you didn't want to hear it well sorry. Clink!!??

Every one defends his religion without know it fully.

Everyone has understood the literary meanings of the verses instead of the expressional meaning.

If you are really religious, you won’t have time to know your own. You will never talk against others.

Ok here you to fight with me….

But try to ask this question to yourself. Are you really religious, are you really following what has been told.

I'm 20, I have a great career and I'm in college, I'm a future Marine (the main reason I haven't tried it yet) and I'm in general the innocent little boy in the corner. I went to CU Boulder for a year and didn't have trouble with it there, but my roommates now smoke constantly and even sell herb daily! I'm very intreigued and want to try it, will it ruin my life if I do? When I apply to the Marines after college they will have no way to tell right?

Before and after some of our christian brothers and sisters pray, they make a sing of the cross. Touch the forehaed with you right hand, then the chest, the left shoulder and lastly the right shoulder. When I practically draw two lines to make a cross, the line going across is on the lower side of the line from the forehead to the chest. Isn't that an upside down cross??

What's your secret to staying young, alive, and hopeful with all the negative that exists in our world today? How does it all compare to when you were young? Is it pretty much the same or is the world a much different place today? I'd love to hear stories and would appreciate whatever anyone over 65 has to say.
