Jehovah's Witnesses are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.

These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.

1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.

2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.

3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.

4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.

5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.

6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

Some religions do sincerely try to follow the Bible in some areas. Yet they cling to false doctrines and, if a Bible teaching is not convenient or comfortable, they readily adjust it to conform to their own standard rather than the other way around. No. If there were, I would be a part of that religion. Jehovah's Witnesses uphold Bible teachings and principles using any Bible, despite the tired, oft-repeated canard concerning their New World Translation. Is there some special ‘Bible the world has used since 90 A.D.’? No. Moreover, as one poster kindly pointed out, Jehovah's Witnesses were using the King James and teaching the same fundamental Bible doctrines long before they published their New World Translation. They still use the King James Version with those who seem to swear by it. Do they chop off their hands and gouge out their eyes when they sin? No. Did Jesus really tell his followers to do that? No. Does the Bible teach that all Christians must personally preach the gospel and make disciples? Yes. Do Jehovah's Witnesses do that? Yes. Do other religions do that? No. Does the Bible teach that those practicing fornication in the congregation must be removed? Yes. Do Jehovah's Witnesses do that? Yes. Do other religions do that? No. Does the Bible teach that all Christians are to be no part of the world? Yes. Are Jehovah's Witnesses part of the world? No. Are other religions a part of the world? Yes. Three examples, among oh so many, to show that Jehovah's Witnesses uphold the Bible’s teachings and principles. Hannah J Paul

Thank you THA for those experiences! They brought tears to my eyes.

Jehovah's Witnesses follow the five things that identify the true religion:

1. Use, respect and obey God's Word - the Bible. Not just parts of it that fit what they want to hear, but ALL of it. (2 Tim. 3:16)
2. They see that God's kingdom is the only solution to the problems that mankind faces. Realize that God's government does NOT rule through the earthly governments now in place. (Dan. 2:44)
3. They would be no part of this world as Jesus commanded them to be. The people of this religion would not allow themselves to be squeezed into the world's mold. (Romans 12:2)
4. They would be known by God's name - Jehovah, who is most high over all the earth. God's name was originally in the Bible over 7,000 times until a man decided to take it out. (Ps. 83:18)
5. They (the adherents to this true religion) would have love among themselves. Love bonds true Christians. They would love each other regardless of race or ethnic backgrounds. It would be a true world-wide brotherhood.(John 13:34, 35)

Some religions have some of these, but only Jehovah's people follow all five of them.

JW's aren't even Christians so how can they follow the teachings of Christ? They could not support their beliefs by the Bible so they rewrote it. They don't accept the Jesus of the Bible as their savior. The follow a Jesus that never existed. To say they are the only group that abides by Bible standards considering they do not abide by the Bible at all is hilarious.

If feel so sorry for all the people above me, why cant they see the truth?
You go to war when the bible says not to, we preach the good news as the bible tells us to, to the furthest distances of this earth, we love our neighbour as ourselves, we use Gods real name, Jehovah, as the original bibles did, before other religions took it out,
our teachings are based STRICTLY on the bible.
Im only young, and i do at times find it very hard to understand and truly grasp what i am being taught, or what any religion teaches, however it is the only religion which has ever made sense to me.
If all of you above just gave the Jehovah's Witnesses a chance to talk to you, maybe you too could see the light.

Ezekiel 20:20 hallow my sabbaths and they shall be a SIGN between me and you that ye may know that I am your God.
Its very clear.. the real religion is the one following God's sabbath.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God..
Even on NT as stated on Acts 18:4 “And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.”

Any here think that Heavenly Eyes or COME TO ME Children or Hairstylist as he is calling himself now, has overstepped the bounds a bit? Annoucing he is annointed and has the highest level of understanding. Those statements have already put off one sister, and I'm inclined to agree with her.

Sorry to put this in your lap, but it needs to be addressed as he claims to be one of us, not annointed, but a Witness. So he needs to act accordingly. Because we do adhere strictly to the Bible and it's principles.Romans 12:3 is how the annointed were instructed to behave does this person have that same disposition?
I get the impression that he is a teen that needs to be redirected just a bit. We love him and he needs our help to get a better understanding. He seems just a little over zealous and perhaps he just didn't look over what he typed and mis-spoke. Nonetheless, it could still stumble others.
It could completely undo the good we seek to accomplish with sharing the Good News. None of us wants to put someone off with a haughty attitude.

I am a inactive Jehovah's Witness (I still believe in their teachings, I just can't follow them) but I don't believe they are the people who stricly abide the bible the most. I know many JWs who are materialistic and highly opinionated in politics. Well, if compared to Catholics and most of the Protestants, JWs abide the bible the most. But with Mennonites, I'll have some doubts.

The most important aspect is not mankinds salvation.
It is the sanctification of God's name.
Satan called him a liar. Saying no one would be obedient to God's laws and that we were not made right. We do not have the ability to be good. So if some are it proves the devil a liar. Which I think many prophets before us have done.

There are other who strive to follow their beliefs, including those who believe in the Bible. Thank you for recognising how hard we work to do so. I am a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Our God is a God of truth. Those worshipping him must worship in spirit and truth. At no time in History has God ever dealt with everyone. He has always had a righteous people for his name. John 17:3 ) This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
