In our home everyone has a "place" they sit in the living room when watching tv. When my husband is not home, my daughter sits in his "place". Last night my husband and I went to the living room to watch tv (my daughter was already sitting) and the controversy started about who's "place" it actually was. She basically refused to give the seat to her father then stormed out of the room saying I'll just watch tv in my own room. To which we replied...that's a great idea! Are we wrong to expect a child to give up a seat to an adult?

I know scholars don't believe it was Ramases. Even Bible scholars don't believe this. Then what is Rameses in Numbers 33:3. "The following are the stages by which the Israelites journeyed up by companies from the land of Egypt under the guidance of Moses and Aaron. By the LORD'S command Moses recorded the starting places of the various stages. The starting places of the successive stages were: They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the Passover morrow the Israelites went forth in triumph, in view of all Egypt,"

im a chrisitian and i believe he made me and you and he died on the cross for me and everyone elses sins.

now that ive cleared that..
i asked a question on evolution being taught in schools
but not religion..

i go to a public school, and we cant speak on religion nor can the teacher.. but we do discuss evolution and i understand that evolution is a proven fact and the two can go hand in hand..

on my last question alot of people totally acted like
i was saying i was a stupdi christian that thinks
evoltuion is crap, which i did say.

but i didnt research it..

im saying that the subject that we do learn in science:
the one where we all developed from monkeys..
i dont get thet whole "story"

how can you be developed from monkeys..
when we all branched from adam and eve..

can someone explain this to me??
and still why we cant learn about religion in school
about all religions not just christianity!

On the radio this morning, I was listening to a report saying that many Christian groups are trying to stop Halloween celebrations in middle school classrooms, saying it's satanic and glorifies witchcraft...and I'm wondering why?

Halloween is not a satanic or evil celebration, but rather based on earlier Celtic celebrations of the harvest and the changing seasons. This holiday is not about glorifying witchcraft either....but witchcraft is an important part of American history and I think that children should be educated about the early witch hysteria.

Why spoil the fun for the masses? Why not keep your kids home that day, if you don't agree with allowing them to dress up and have a bit of fun?

What are Christian parents' take on all this?

As social mixing and intermarriage grow, and immigration stabilizes, will we see a decline in group identification within the U.S. - and more recognition of the individual? If so, will that help us move ahead as a society, to most people's benefit?

You say that we have a sinful nature since the Garden of Eden. Who DECIDED that we have a sinful nature since the Garden of Eden? Who made it happen? Who made that rule? You act as though God had no choice but to give all future people a sinful nature. He didn't have to.

Do pray the Rosary daily?
Do you read the Bible?
Do you give to the poor?
are people in the congregation friends with each other?
Does Catholicism teach you to be friendly to others?
Are there any prayers you pray that are not already written out, do you have prayers that you decide what to say while you are saying the prayer?
Would you consider yourself a cafeteria Catholic?

If Jesus was man and God, shouldn't he have had the original sin as well? All people have original sin according to the bible, so he had it too. If he had it then doesn't that not make him perfect? I asked my religion teacher this and his answer made no sense to me.

I delare that God doesn't exist, that Jesus is dead and there is no Holy Spirit.
Since I believe what I say to be true, how can anyone say that I'm a blasphemer, without showing prejudice against me on religious grounds?
Is that the way your God wanted you to behave?
(I capitalise the appropriate words for your benefit only and out of respect for your beliefs.)

I've been up since 5 o clock cleaning because my daughter is having a birthday party tomorrow & I want everything to look really nice and I've gotta do some baking and cooking this afternoon to get ready for the party.

My husband left for work at 6 and at 6:30 my doorbell rang. It was my neighbor. She comes over about every other day and usually stays for half an hour or an hour and talks about her son (who I don't even know). I try to be polite and just listen because she's very lonely.

Well, she said she came over because she saw my light was on so she knew I was up- who goes visiting at 6:30 int he morning? I hinted to her that I was busy cleaning house for the birthday party because I wanted to get stuff done before the baby woke up. She didn't get the hint.

It is now 9 a.m. and I JUST got rid of her..

Does everyone have a neighbor like this?
