Its weird in world where war and terrorism and other horrible events have happened due to religious belief you can understand why people look down upon those who choose to believe in a god or Jesus. Yet, without any believe in a god life would be so much harder... like when someone dies they are just dead not gone to heaven or reincarnated ect.

So then you get yourself into a situation where ok your in the middle and that's hard for people accept because not believing in god is considered a extreme and yet being fanatic is considered an extreme. THE TRUTH IS PEOPLE LIKE TO FOLLOW OTHERS AND IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN IDEAS ON WHAT YOU DO AND DONT BELIEVE it can cause problems. Hope that makes some sense

You might not be trying to 'convert' people, but if people are putting it down, it means you are talking about it too much!
I am personally Agnostic: believe in something, but not sure what. People that go on and on about Jesus this, and Jesus that, make me want to vomit. First of all... Jesus has been for hundreds of years, displayed as a white man. Proven not to be possible based on geographic location. Unless he had a severe case of Vitiligo, he would look like Habeeb from the Quickie Mart down the street.
Believing in a higher power; nothing wrong with it. Believing in something that has proven to be false; ignorance.

I wish I could answer your question. Other religions are so protected and respected, yet Christianity is mocked and made fun of. I guess you just need to take people's comments with a grain of salt. In the end, I'll see you at the pearly gates of Heaven and those that put us "Jesus believers" down will wish they were there too. God Bless!

People put believers down because they believe we are out there to get them. It's ok to believe. I believe. and like you I don't try to convert anyone. I just respect other people's beliefs.

In the bible is says He who believes in me(jesus) will be judged. YOu are just being judged by the non believers. Keep on believing on him. He is the only friend that will never let you down. When you are in need he will be there for you.

The biblical objective is NOT to believe: Mt 24:23,26; 1Jn4:1.
The biblical objective IS for the know nots to know: John 8:32

Believers do about as well as devils: James 2:8,19.
Knowers don't need to be told what to do & don't do.
Know the truth makes you free of believe the lies(laws).

Jesus: made under the law, is Saviour of Israel
Christ: the end of the law, is Saviour of the world
To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world...
E-life of e-salvation is notably "through Jesus-->Christ".
Ye are not under the law(Jesus), but under grace(Christ)
Which (law/grace; jesus/christ) things are an "allegory",
written aforetime for our learning, as a "mystery" to solve.

Forgive "them", for they "know not", and often fail.... Law
Charity never faileth is above forgiving one another... Grace

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

If you don't go out trying to convert others, I have no problem with you. Believe whatever you want, as long as you're not hurting anyone else.

Why is it not a two way street.

Atheist get to spew their system of beliefs and other's can't.

Sounds facistic to me.

Sounds like the Moral Police of Iran or the Black Shirts of Mussollini.

A failure to practise what you preach...

Or maybe Atheism is just another God Delusion.

It's cool you believe in Jesus. Just keep thy religious belief to yourself. I'll do the same.

I think you deserve respect, but you also have to accept the opinions of other people who might disagree with you, otherwise there is no point in coming to a place as R&S.
