I delare that God doesn't exist, that Jesus is dead and there is no Holy Spirit.
Since I believe what I say to be true, how can anyone say that I'm a blasphemer, without showing prejudice against me on religious grounds?
Is that the way your God wanted you to behave?
(I capitalise the appropriate words for your benefit only and out of respect for your beliefs.)
A converted Atheist.

In a society where there is an accepted single faith that is the primary focus of the culture it is assumed that all within the society is of the same faith, such as the ancient Isrealites. They had one faith the belief in a single god. Anyone who denied their societies god was considered a blasphemer.

Today in our own society there is no one sinlge faith that is considered the primary focus of the culture. Being an atheist states you do not believe in any god, an act of belief that is acceptable since we are a multi-faith culture.

That you renounce any and all ideas of a diety and subsequent related theological ideas that is your perogitive. Stating that you are an atheist, however, does not necessarially mean that you are without a spiritual nature.

Those who would by their biased upbringing degrade you and harbor ill will against you concerning your beliefs are violating your rights to believe any way that you so choose.

As to the question "Is that the way your God wanted you to behave?", it is the belief of almost all theologies that it is their duty as mandated by their god to bring people to an understanding of their god. However, it is inappropraite to harrass someone over their beliefs. Those that do are really in violation of most of the provisions of their religion to "love one another as you would have them love you" take off on the "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Or maybe the phrase "you will know my people by the love they have among themselves"

Hope that covers your question

If you don't believe in God then... I wouldn't say that you a "blasphemer" but... you are turning your back on God and that is not a good thing. I hope and pray that you will come to know God, his son Jesus and feel the Holy Spirit someday.

God says there is such a thing as blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. He is very clear in His Word, exactly what that is and what makes a person guilty of having comitted it.

You, like everyone else, will have the opportunity to plead your case before Him one day. If you think He is wrong and want to tell him to His face that He is being prejudiced, you'll have that opportunity. I encourage you though, know for sure what you are talking about before you go there. It's all contained in the Bible, so you will not be able to plead ignorance of what God expects of you. Choosing not to study it or understand it will not make you any less guilty on the day of judgement.

You don't have to answer to me or anyone else, you will have to answer to God though and giving me a silly little thumbs down will not change that fact.

God bless you.

I wouldn't call you a blasphemer. I am a Christian evangelist. God's love is the most precious thing in my life. If I want to share God's love with you, why should I alienate you first. It's true, lots of Christians do, but all that proves is that Christians aren't perfect.

I am sad for you because you do not have this vibrant never-failing love in your life and I pray that you will find it. Love is the purpose of life.

Blasphemy is taking God's name in vain. Not believing that God exists, is not in and of itself blasphemy.

If you use God's name as a swear word, or as mundane (like if you might say, "Oh, rats!" and use "God" instead, etc) those are examples of blasphemy.

But, just because you don't BELIEVE something, does that make it not real? I mean, for instance, if you were driving along the road and you ran through a red light and caused a 3-car pile up, would the police officer excuse you just because you "don't believe" in red lights? (I'm not talking about believing in God, per se. I'm talking about the "blasphemy" you mentioned, or breaking any of the other 10 commandments.)

christianity is not a part of the law of the United States (maybe in other countries it is)...therefore you can be "called" a blasphemer but technically you can't really be charged with it as a crime and labeled a blashpemer...now some Christians may call you that...those Christians who like to JUDGE others...I am not that type of Christian...I don't judge and call names. I embrace all people regardless of their beliefs.

They is also too countless to record via identify, on the grounds that taking John three:sixteen out of context would possibly simply come to be Blasphemy in opposition to the Holy Spirit, on the grounds that that verse, in context, is approximately the Spirit and light-weight of God, no longer the Crucifixion or blood for sin.

It depends on what Christian you ask. I love blaspheme, but some of them say us atheists can't. They say it only counts if you believe and still deny him. Go figure.

Yeah, it's all basically just a kid's game. You've decided not to play anymore, but the other kids are still trying to tag you "it."

It's actually kind of hilarious that all "religious" people really have for leverage are their imaginary threats and promises - at least, in democracies such as ours (pause for laughter).

People seem to think that the Christian God is FOR religious openness. But the truth is, God is INTOLERANT of other gods - its clearly laid out in the 10 Commandments and throughout scripture. God would want me to declare that there is no other God but Him, and that He indeed IS God - even if that steps on your toes.

I respect your right to believe what you want to believe. Free will is CENTRAL to Christian belief. But I don't have to believe that you are correct. If you want me to believe that, you are being intolerant to my beliefs - kind of cyclical, isn't it?

I would hope that you would reconsider your "conversion" and test the words of God, and see if they are not true. You are welcome to email me any time and we can discuss this topic.
