This seems a little bit silly to me. While I can understand (though do not agree with) the idea that Jesus isn't who He said He was, how on earth can you possibly prove that a man *didn't* exist 2000 years ago? I realize that the people this applies to will bark back that I can't prove that He did. That's okay, I'm aware of the fact that I cannot offer tangible proof that He did. Not neither can anyone prove that He did *not* exist. It just seems like such grasping at straws to post links saying that He *COULD NOT* have existed or that He is a myth.

What should we do to help others prepare themselves for the Second Coming?

how do you know hell is evil and fiery?
how do you know heaven is calm and tranquil?
are you sure jesus or god werent playing politician and promised something they couldnt give?
or maybe god said that hell is worse than it is so more people would go to heaven?

Supposed to be going out with a few girls from work, can not be bothered, i am a bit skint, have a party tomorrow night and there is only one girl i would choose to socialise with. Need a good excuse, not too OTT as my mum is also going to be there(another reason i do not want to go)

Although originally the task was to see which group used the most reasoning, we feel that we didn't achieve anything because people probably felt it was easier to type short slanders then explaining their beliefs in long answers and also with supporting evidence, and speaking of slanders, well, this is YA, not a science conference, so we really couldn't expect anything more :D

My next door neighbor's house is only about 25 feet from mine.They are retirees who are always sitting at their dining room table...I'm a mom of an 8 year old and 3 teenagers...always active and going places.Their dining room has a window right next to the table,and they used to have a mini- blind there...but recently took it down.The window is open all the time,and with no covering,they can literally see and hear all that goes on in my driveway,all of our comings,goings,kids' arguments,etc...I feel like I'm in a fishbowl.Also,he can't hear well and has the TV so loud that I can hear it clearly every time I go outside.*sigh*
Would this bother you or not?

I believe the old adage that the way to a mans heart is through his stomach. That being said, I love cooking meals for my boyfriend and taking care of him in general. In that sense I'm an old fashined gal. Being independent and self sufficient are also important to me. I have a full time & a part time job on the weekends. This, I suppose makes me modern. How do you see yourselves, ladies, and in your opinion, what do gentlemen prefer? Answers from both genders are welcome.
