how do you know hell is evil and fiery?
how do you know heaven is calm and tranquil?
are you sure jesus or god werent playing politician and promised something they couldnt give?
or maybe god said that hell is worse than it is so more people would go to heaven?

Have you ever heard the voice of God? In the spiritual presence of God man changes. You cannot stay the same.
One word from God and you hunger and thirst for more. All I can tell you is - until God calls you to Him, you will be asking silly questions like you are asking. Until God touches you, read His Bible and learn about Him. You will be better prepared than most people.

If you read the New testament it becomes clear. It gets clearer when you see how the Old Testament and the New work in perfect harmony with each other. Jesus talked about hell as the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth and the outer darkness and burning hell.
There IS a consequence to sin. Our sin condemns us. BUT Jesus provided a way by giving up Himself for people like you and me. He was the perfect sinless sacrifice. The Father accepted His sacrifice by raising Him from the dead.

God has told us that Hell was made for the devil and his angels. It is a place of eternal damnation. God does not want any of us to go there but our disbelief will send us there.
God says He is still preparing us a place in Heaven, all we need to do is believe. Gos sent His own Son to earth to be born a live and grow up as man. So He could be our example. He died for each and every on of us so we could have the chance to accept Christ as our Savour. He rose again after 3 days. I would not want to think that God would lie by telling us there was a hell when there is not. God is truth so therefore if He says there is a Hell then there is do you really want to risk eternity on this. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever (that means you) beleives on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
in this verse the world means even if you were the only one Christ would have died for you.
Revelation 3:20 says "Behold I stand at the door and knock if man hears My voice and will open the door I will come in .
This means if you truly want Christ to come into your heart that all you have to do is ask.
The sinners prayer for salvation is simple: Dear Lord,
I know I am a sinner and deserve hell. Please forgive me and come into my heart today and save me. I want to be your child. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Thank you for loving me. In Your name Amen.
If you say the prayer with sincerity then you will never have to wonder if there is a hell because you will never go there because there is a place at Christ feet for you in Heaven.

Without a hell to threaten people with christianity would probably have died out centuries ago.
It's a religion based on fear and the people who invented it did a very good job.

the carrot and the stick are good tools for training dogs, but it is downright awful theology.
the more you think about it, that whole structure is clearly just a sick mind control scheme.
