ok i am the life and soul of the party and have a trillion friends but the thing is i swear coz i am popular and a joker i get people using me to entertain them :(

i know who my REAL REAL friends are and it's only 5 people who are there for me (i am lucky so i shouldn't be complaining really)

also coz i am popular and a joker it frightens off people who fancy me because they can't get on my level.....should i tone it down a bit???

the thing is i can't help it really coz i love to have a laugh and enjoy life (you only live once so...) and even when it comes to my career i've done so much that others can't compete too. i hope i ain't making people feel less to me because i really don't look at superficial things and act better than anybody else coz all that stuff doesn't matter to me it's just something i've done and been lucky in

I think that the old wives tale telling you how many times to chew your food is physically impossible. How many times can you chew one bite of food?

We have children and would like to join a church but have never attempted to compromise a religion. I don't know much about Methodist, but have heard it would be the best cross between the two. Any suggestions? I don't know much about the religion, so any info would be great!

My first problem is the ability to let go of wanting to be in control of my own life instead of putting it in God's hands for his own pupose. I still want to try and solve my own problems which leads to stress and worry. My second problem is I want to meditate and let his words be heard or felt in my heart but my mind wanders all over the place and I am easily distracted while trying to meditate. ANY TIPS

suppose two different people are confronted with a situation where they have the opportunity to rob another person of $500

person A: this person is an atheist, however, being a person of human compassion, he is unable to rob the person in question because he knows that it would result in that person being rendered homeless, and unable to feed his children and family.

person B: this person believes in a god and believes in following the rules that his god has laid down, but isn't a particularly compassionate person. he decides to rob the person of 500$ for two reasons: the person doesn't share his faith, and he therefore cares even less for this person, and because he knows that his god will understand and that if he prays enough god will forgive him.

If you are a believer in god and you get to heaven, do you get to talk to god or like the 'Royal Family'/ ppl of high authority are you denied that chance,

also in heaven is it complete bliss or are we designated roles/tasks for example if a king dies does he keep the same status when he goes to heaven or is he just equal llike a normal person,

*Also to some ppl there is an unknown meaning to life does that meaning change once you get to heaven

Do you deny objective morality; that the difference between Gandhi and Hitler is not just a matter of preference, like chocolate vs. vanilla ice cream? If not, then how do you ground morality; how do you explain where it came from and why we ought to be moral tomorrow?

With no divine author or judge there is no reason to think that there should be any moral laws that we are obliged to recognize and keep, except for self-serving reasons. And yet, morality aligns with our deepest intuitions: we expect others to recognize it; we urge our kids to exercise it; therapists get rich repairing the effects of its abuse; we judge criminals insane if they do not recognize it; and all cultures affirm it in common principle if not in individual application.
