The NJB clearly states "Through by Grace and Works and Intercession of the Holy Saints are you saved, through faith..."

Ephesians 2:8-10...

Doesn't this counter their heresy?

I remember reading a very thorough report from a Catholic-Protestant meeting of high church leaders and theologians on this issue, coming to the conclusion that the whole dispute about "soli gratia" was entirely based upon misunderstandings, and that both sides agreed to the other side's explanation in this question.

Sure, there are other points where they certainly don't agree, but obviously this wasn't one of them, despite actually being the "symbol issue" of the Reformation.

So, you claim that you are going to become a Catholic so you can spread misconception about what Catholics believe.

This is an old ploy that has been used by many people.

It would be best if you actually did some studying in regards to what the Catholic Church teaches instead of calling yourself a catechumen and stating your misconceptions.

Most students listen and study the truth instead of regurgitating what they have heard before.

You may have changed your screen name, but you are singing the same tune.

Randy, "Catechumen" is a long time Catholic basher who is purposely spreading misconceptions about the catholic Church in the guise of someone who is studying to be a catholic. He is a married man who is stating that he is moving towards being a priest.

He has made his previous questions private so people cannot see that all of the misunderstandings he is posting as a "catechumen" have already been addressed to him.

What version of the bible are you reading?

----------------
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

To say that we are saved by any other manner than grace is pretty much boastful. It says in the bible that we are saved by grace not by any deeds of our own, so that we can not boast. We are saved through his sacrifice not through our earthly deeds. Don't you think that all glory should be given to God alone? Don't you think giving glory to anyone but the Holy Trinity is in itself blasphemous?
