If so what will happen to the rest of the Christian organizations?

2007-09-19 02:45:22 · 24 answers · asked by Anonymous in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

The Governing Body of the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society teach all JWs the following (as found in their 'Watchtower' magazines):

'Consider, too, the fact that Jehovah's organization alone, in all the earth, is directed by God's holy spirit... Only this organization functions for Jehovah's purpose and to his praise. To it alone God's Sacred Word, the Bible is not a sealed book. Many persons of the world are very intelligent, capable of understanding complex matters. They can read the Holy Scriptures but they cannot understand their deep meaning. Yet God's people can comprehend such spiritual things... How very much true Christians appreciate associating with the only organization on earth that understands the deep things of God... this organization alone is supplied with 'gifts in men'.' Correct me if I'm wrong, but the holy spirit was promised as a helper to the followers of Christ as individuals, there has NEVER been a mention of ANY organization with the monopoly on God's Holy Spirit.

It is my belief that many individuals no matter what their professed denomination might be can avail themselves of the Helper, there is no segregation like in the 1960's South where when it comes to having the Holy Spirit.

In answer to your question, that IS what they teach; but it doesn't make it truth. They teach that the "rest of the christian organizations" belong in the classification of the Harlot that rides the wild beast in Revelation. That IS that they teach, but it doesn't make it truth.

The Jehovah Witnesses organizations, or the Watch Tower, was formed by a guy named Charles Taze Russel in the 1860s based on the idea that he was forming the symbolic 10 tribes of Isreal. He was anti-Christian, which is why he chose to have Jesus hung on a stake. This was to elimate the symbol that is considered the symbol of Christianity.
He continually made predictions for the end of the world and when the end didnt come, attendance would drop, as organization members would lose thier houses and belongings, and basically lose faith when they realized they had been lied to by the watch tower.
In 1948 Isreal became a nation again, proving the profecy that the Watch Tower was based on to be litteral, and not symbolic as Russel stated.
There is no real corelation between the Bible and the beliefs of the Jehovah Witnesses. They will give lists of unrelated and semi-related Bible passages to go with each belief.
The very name Jehovah is a mistake which comes from the early translations of the messoretic text. Until the 1600s the letter j was used as a vowel until i was introduced into the alphabet. The real pronouncation intended by the word Jehovah was iehovah which is a varation of YHWH the Hebrew spelling of the name of God.

Yes. It is the only organization on earth that has served his interests. However, God's main purpose is to have his organization be run by Jesus as it's head thus the WTS will have to be removed at some point. It's gathering of fish in its dragnet been completed.

"Again the kingdom of the heavens is like a dragnet let down into the sea and gathering up fish of every kind"

Who else professes Jehovah God's call, does the preaching paintings that Jesus instituted and commanded his followers to do. If it comes from God it is going to final, from guy it won't. the easy of information and information gets brighter as time is going on. As issues grow to be clearer in a definite section do you no longer replaced, or hone your thinking? Jehovah is a God of order and does no longer "unload" each little thing on his human beings. because of the fact the time nears for wisdom to improve or to be "tweaked" then he follows via. might you're taking a 5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old out and practice him the thank you to rebuild an engine? No he does no longer have the means to appreciate. whilst he's say 15 you parent he can handle it and initiate with the fundamentals and upload as he's in a position to entice close and maintain extra. Jehovah enlightens us as to a extra perfect information of scripture. As we progression in this international our enlightenment will become extra as a fashion to extra perfect understand what is going on and coming. we've the fundamentals interior the Bible, now he's increasing our view. I've looked through the Bible and the only Christian "organization" I can find is Christ's church; the one He built on the day of Pentecost. I can't find any reference to Jehovah's Witness, Catholic, Protestant, or any other denomination. I just hope God isn't offended by our division.

Many organizations think that they have the exclusive doorway to God. However, God is the only one who knows what is in a person's heart, and one's relationship with God is only known to both that person and God. The devisive nature of this exclusivity concept is a device to pull Christians apart as well as to pull other faiths apart from each other. It is not for a man, or an organization, to judge what is in another's heart, that is only for God.

No, they claim to like any religion would, matter of fact they do not even have the right name for God. Jesus is the only judge their is that can handle sins but they think that their judicial committee can handle sins and have been sued for it by hiding things from the law as your name signifies, silentlambs.org, who gave Charles T Russel the date of 1914 as the date for Armageddon? Jesus said that no man knows that date, neither do the angels and Jesus even admitted he didn't know but only his father knew. The date missed by a long shot and Deuteronomy states that if it doesn't come about as that prophet has spoke it then that is a false prophet. That can't be by God's holy spirit? Tell me that God can't even communicate with his prophets anymore? I have God's holy spirit. salvation is found in no one else, only in Jesus says Acts 4: 12, Romans 8; 15 states for as many as are led by the spirit of God, these are sons of God, where's the number 144,000? It does not even label a religion by name. Peace out!!!!!!!!!!

God wouldn't give His Spirit to a spiritually dead God hating organization! God only gives His Spirit to repentant Christian who worship the Biblical Jesus!

The Jehovah's Witness movement is a cult that has distorted the true teachings of the bible. IN fact, their using the name "Jehovah" instead of "Lord" or "God" came from a blatant misinterpretation of the Hebrew language.

They do not believe in the Trinity, but rather that God (Jehovah) created Jesus and that Jesus' was not raised from the dead physically, but as a "mighty spirit creature."

The second coming of Jesus was an invisible spiritual presence that began in 1914. That's a good one! Of course, this was after first saying it had begun in 1874.

The use of true biblical statements mixed in with false teachings has given the movement credibility among those who are not familiar with the bible and has created a huge following of zombie believers.

As far as "God's Holy Spirit" you mentioned, since JW's don't believe that the Holy Spirit IS God (absence of the Trinity), then I'm not sure what having "God's Holy Spirit" actually means, since it is not God. Once again, it is something that has been changed from its true meaning from the bible to fit the teachings of the JW cult.

The Holy Spirit indwells all those who confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. Now Witnesses will tell you that they, too, confess Jesus. So, the question becomes "what Jesus"? The biblical jesus, or another Jesus? They deny the deity of Jesus, they turn him into an angel by equating him with either Michael or the angel from the pit (Apollyon) in the Book of Revelaton. They then deny God's Holy Spirit has any deity.
So, I respectfully submit, Jehovah's Witnesses definitely invoke the name of Jesus, but are not calling on the biblical Jesus. So, who are they calling on? That's a very good question.
