With all due respect , why is it that hindus are afraid or reluctant to let others read thier holy books?

Is it bcoz they are afraid others i.e. believers of Abrahamic faith , find the flaws in thier religions?

if someone accused you of murder, would you ask them to proof it. say to them'where is your evidence'.
it's not something that you would take their word for, is it.

since eternal salvation is infinitely more important than being accused of murder, why do you accept it's existance and god's existence without the need for proof or any REAL (i mean scientific), evidence.

surely you wouldn't rely on faith or belief in anything lesser, such as being accused of killing someone.

According to Romans 4, Paul falsely claims that Abraham recieved his covenant from HaShem, the God of Israel, by the mere graces of HaShem and not by works of the law or by his holy and righteous conduct. For he writes, "What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, hath found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not toward God. For what saith the scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt.,,,"

I care not write more of his wicked non-sense, for DON'T tell that to HaShem Himself for this is what He Himself said to Issac - the righteous:

"HaShem appeared unto him [Issac], and said.... 'and I will establish the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father..... Because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. "

Paul, therefore, gives false testimony!!!

I've tried to improve my appearance a bit by losing some weight and (through laziness) letting my hair grow longer than the usual cropped look.

What do you think? (I'm on the far left)

do you think that it is important to have faith in things other than god?

or is faith (acceptance of that which has no evidence), reserved solely for your belief in god?

Why did god make us humans with an appendix, wisdom teeth, tail bones and body hair? Also, why did he make whales with hind leg bones? I am curious to any theories explaining why Yahweh did theese things.

Did you know that according to the gospel of Matthew 27:5, Judas hanged himself after he betrayed Jesus? Yet, in Acts 1:16-20 Peter gives an entirely different account of how Judas died. Peter says that Judas took the money that he received in his betrayal of Jesus and went and bought a field with it. Yet while he was walking in his own field his stomach burst open out of the blue and his guts spilled out and thus he died as a result.

Thus folks - stop believing that the NT is inerrant. Remember, it is not what is written about Jesus that is inerrant, it is the man himself, Okay

Again, Jesus is not God in the flesh, this is a deliberate ill-translation by those that drank the kool aid of the catholic church from the Nicene council of 325 CE. Judaism NEVER claimed that the promised moshiach is 'GOD,' this is why most Jews do not accept Yehoshua as their moshiach, because of these kind of ignorant people that think they are "witnessing" for HaShem, WRONG!!!!

I just got done writing in my journal and i couldnt stop writing and this is what ended up coming out and i didnt realize i felt this way. please dont think it's meant to offend anyone, these are just my feelings i guess.. and a lot of anger. i am at a loss.. the end of my rope.. i didnt realize how much hatred i had.. i used to believe and love god... please dont take offense, these are just my feelings right now. the entry is filled with swearing and i dont feel like editing so im sure a lot will be starred out and the words that aren't censored, i am sorry for that. please help me.

I can’t wait to leave this world.. But I know it’s no paradise that I will be enetering afterwards. Just more pain. That’s how the christian god is. People who experience the hell on earth, are also condemned to an eternity of hell. **** you god. I’m tired of your games. You are nothing. I call myself weak… but really, it’s the weak who feel the need to believe in you, put their hope into you… and believe that you really give two cunting shits. I hate you.. I hate you for everything. You are just as bad as satan himself… but at least satan has the balls to live up to his name you ******* coward. You ego is enough to make me sick.. You died on the cross out of love??? Then why do you demand worship? Unconditional love?? Oh, a love that I am incapable of grasping?? Last time I checked unconditional meant that your love is pure, perfect, and UN ******* CONDITIONAL. Your form of love is sending people that don’t WORSHIP you to an eternal, burning hell? I don’t need your ******* love… I don’t even want to see my worst enemy tortured for eternity so how can people say you are love? You are vengeful and hateful. **** your free will. You’re ego is bigger than any love you could possibly give. I would die for the people I love, too so what makes you so ******* special? And those people that I love and would die for.. Just because they didn’t worship me and follow my rules, I would never turn them away from an eternity of paradise. You gave satan reign over this world.. And the people I love.. I certainly wouldn’t “test” their loyalty and put them trough HELL so they could be “used” for a greater purpose. I don’t believe in your definition of love.. And anymore.. It’s hard to believe in you. And by the way, your people give you a really bad name. I hope your proud of what you have created. Hatred and agony. Cindy is the only true person I know.. But still, I wonder about the judgemet I see in her. Why is it so hard for your people to remember, enforce and comprehend your word that clearly states that sin is sin and there is no sin greater than another. Your people are the biggest hypocrites in today’s society.. They can’t even unite and agree on you or your word.. So who is right? The Baptists? The Pentecostals? Catholics? Mormons? JW’s, Apostolic’s? I’m sick and tired of you and your empty promises.

Some Christians seem to think only a true believer can understand the Bible and when atheists quote contractions and scientific fallacies in the Bible, Christians usually say "well you don't understand the interpretation or the context."

So I have to ask this, the instant that I became an atheist did I cease to understand the Bible?

Why is it that everyone feels religion has to be just so?
For example:
"Either you believe in god or you're hellbound."
"If you believe in god at all you're an idiot"
"I'm christian/jewish/wiccan/islamic/aetheist and everyone else is wrong but dont you dare tell me I'm wrong or I'll laugh in your face"

Get over yourselves, people, and stop telling people with other belief systems that they're wrong.
If you're the person posting mock questions or rude answers for the sake of being rude, you should stop wasting your time and find something else to do.

I am considering applying for an annulment through the catholic church. I haev been divorced for 5 yrs. My husband divorced me because he decided he did not want any children and was having an affiar the last year of our marriage. He ended up marrying that woman 2 yrs ago. He was a non-catholic. I am not dating anyone, but am considering an annulment in case I do meet someone and want to re-marry. Has anyone been thru one? I am not looking for definitions or criticism, just want to know who has been through it and if you would recommend it. I can't imagine spending my life alone and want to make god a part of it if i remarry.
