The next war?

We're still in one and I'm not sure how any of us will fare yet in an all out religious war since lots of people are actually happy that we are moving toward the Armegeddon that they we are ourselves producing.

I'm a lot more concerned right now about our country's future leadership and somehow managing to keep our butts in tact till somebody of reason, who has a real brain, can manage our military presence and actions in that area.

Frankly, as far I'm concerned, the Palestinian, Muslim and Israeli "problem" was their problem until we were hoisted into the big middle of middle east issues that have existed since time began and stirred up the pot that has always been boiling over there.

But, you're probably right. There probably WILL be another war before I leave this planet. Could be that the Russians will be a part of it but we may be too flarped up from our middle east involvement to be a part of much of anything but inside fueding, a collapsing economy overrun by illegal aliens, a locked up congress and being slowly smothered by religion.

#1 oil #2 oil #3 oil--------I think what they now call Holy wars, are not Holy wars at all, Those that fight in the name of God!
use God as an excuse to fight for what ever cause they have of their own. If there be a next war it will be the rich against the
poor, as that is the global objective via the rich and Corps.
That in it self is the cold war of now, Power and Greed, is the reason for any war. Control over people is the goal.

Religion is one of the worlds largest industries, second only to war. Religious conflict has been the fuel for most wars, and Israel is the most volatile fuel of all.

Oil will always be a lucrative business. The countries that have it will be motivated by greed and the price will go up. Actually oil is presently the biggest motive for peace in the middle east.

Russia's recent actions is only a continuation of the cold war. If the US and Russia ever fight each other it will be about conquest.

Poppies rate low on the totem pole...we turn a blind eye on that one now in Afganistan.
Oil is finite, we are running out of the stuff and must develop energy sources that have nothing to do with Carbon in any form.
Religion...it always comes back to religion and/or money. I think the religion bit will not be contained to the Middle East. We are moving to a world that potentially will be 25% Islam. Traditionally, religious wars have been fought by Christians and/or Muslims...so my "money" is on #2. Strange, two religions that claim to be peace loving, built on a morals cause that contain serious sins of murder are the two religions that seem to do the most murdering. This one I cannot put to bed in my head. And I think that no one should be able to. And it would seem that these two religions are the ones that have the least amount of trouble rationalizing all they do "in God's name," with God on their side. As Bob Dylan put it long ago, "If God is on our side, there'll be no next war. "

No. It'll be about the need for water. Everyone's trying to find alternatives for oil - and they'll succeed. No.2 will rumble on for another few centuries - same old, same old. No.3 is just a commodity and there'll be newer 'fixes' that will outstrip it.

I agree with Goldwing.
But also feel: Greed seems to be humans stock in trade along with: I'm right & your wrong & we will now fight over this issue. Religion has had it share of starting wars which seems a bit off center to me.
