The first three are often called the virtues of contemplative life. The closer we move towards God in response to God's drawing us closer, the greater our confidence grows in living as people who are poor in spirit, who recognize our loss, mourn without being overwhelmed, submit (the true meaning of meek) to the true Authority and walk without fear.
The next three have been called the active life virtues and build upon the first three. In hungering for more of God, we seek to life righteously; in giving mercy we receive; in living pure in heart, the core of who we are, we no longer fear being found out as something different.
The final two take all that has gone before and put it into practice. We live as peacemakers in a world that will persecute us for it. In all these we are blessed because we do not walk alone.
Most meaningful? Once again I say they are inseparable. One informs the next and all are necessary. All speak to the life to which we are all called. Life lived in relationship both with God, longing for God, and submitting to God's ways and authority and in relationship with one another making peace, giving mercy, living in truth without deceptions, persevering.

For me it's no. 6 "clean of heart" for if you have this you will know that: (1) you are poor in spirit; (2) you should always be mild and moderate; (3) you need God that gives comfort; (4) you recognize justice and that you have to be just; (5) you have to be merciful; (7) one must always be a peacemaker; and most of all (8) one must have a clean heart in order to withstand persecution for the sake of justice.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the Children of God.

if more people carried this in their hearts, the world would be a far better place.

They are all very meaningful!

If we've to choose one I'd say
"Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"
1) Because Jesus Himself suffered persecution.
2) Because he who suffer persecution for justice's sake is able to lay down his life for love and Jesus' sake.
3) Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
4) Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
5) Because they also endure the temptation while suffering persecution, just as Jesus' endured the temptation in the desert for 40 days.
