One isn't quite worse than the other, because they both are extremely radical forms of a religion. They do have some similarities.The members of these religions usually put aside any type of sensible thinking in order to follow what they believe their"god" wants them to do.

The resurection of Jesus has been proven even by some people who thought they were hard core atheists. I can't say the same for scientology.
