They are really unreliable, you may as well toss a coin. Especially if the person is good at controlling their emotions.

I think that would be a great idea as well. I think that should be the first thing the investigators should do in any missing child case, eliminate the family by lie detector testing and then go on with the investigation. I mean, don't delay in trying to find the child, but have someone spend the time clearing the parents. Why don't the police think abouth such things?

maybe because a lie dectector is not 100% accurate its only 96% and if they (McCanns) done the lie detector and it should they were lying then they would say they were that 4% that its not working etc
