People who are patient and wait for something they would really like to have/do one day doesn't come to them. They never get what they were so patient about and if they were so good at waiting upon until whatever it was/is that happened/happens.

as marx said most men live lives of quiet desperation and that's the way the cookie crumbles. few people get exactly what they want out of life. i trust that there will be a life after death that will be perfect in every way.

Maybe you wait/wish for the wrong thing. Throughout my teens, more than anything, I wished to be in a successful rock band. Don't laugh. Music was my religion. I kept watching all those after school specials about people working hard at something and getting their dreams, but was vdevastated because in the back of my mind I knew that it's highly unlikely. Well, it turns out that what I really wanted was to become a good guitar player and a good song writer, and have friends to jam with. That was what I was jrlaous of that whole time, not the fame and success. I now have these things, and I am happy. I also wanted this one guy for 5 years and never got him. Turned out I just wanted a great lover and companion, not that specific guy. I now have that too. Look at your dreams and see what is it that you REALLY want and not what you ThINK you want. Cheers!

Patience may be a virtue, but it's the early bird that gets the worm...... Got it......
A life experience as an example: Once after moving, looking for a job, I'm talking to some women as to "how shy" I am, in walks this gorgeous female, I stand up, say, "hi my name is Gary, where have you been all of my life" - she replies " where was I three weeks ago", my reply was " the story of my life, a day late, and a dollar short". To this day, we are great, close friends, married to others. But to the females I was talking to, to this day, they claim I've never been shy. It isn't that I'm not shy, it's just that I've learned to never let an opportunity pass me by. If you stand by and wait, then you just procrastinate - if you stand up and act, your way ahead of the rest of the pack.

Everything we will have will one day own us. The longer it takes to obtain something, the longer it takes to lose it. Waiting forever for something only means that we may never lose it.
