Ickenham Station which is an interchange between the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines has it own ghost who has been seen by various passengers and staff over the years. Most people do not realise that she is a wraith.
She is a middle aged woman wearing a red headscarf and dark overcoat who stands near the substation at the end of the platform. She is normally seen around the middle of November and waves to people to come and join her. People who do try, find she vanishes before they get there. She has been seen since the early 1950s when apparently a woman committed suicide by jumping on to the conductor rails.
Again on the Piccadilly line at Covent Garden Station a tall man in old fashioned clothing has been seen by late night pasengers and staff around midnight on December nights. He has been positively identified as William Terris who was stabbed leaving the Adelphi Theatre in December 1897.
On the Central line at Bank Station a Woman dressed in black is often reported, reputedly Sarah Whitehead whose Brother worked at the Bank of England and was hanged for forging cheques in 1811.
Also on the Central line at Queensway a guard allegedly saw Sir Winston Churchill on the platform a few years ago, this image was also captured on the station CCTV.
On the Northern Line at Elephant & Castle Footsteps and the sounds of a walking stick are occaisionally heard on the platform when it is empty.
Also on the same line at Highgate a phantom train is often heard passing through the station but never seen.
I didnt see the programme you mention but hope these and more were mentioned.

I have seen this programme before & it freaked me out. When you think about it, the Underground is steeped in history.
Think about how many "one Under's" they have daily. You have to think , these places are haunted to a reasonable degree as well as having one under's.
Sadly I have never witnessed anything & if I did I would well & truely fill my underwear!! .
The latest I have been on a Underground station is about 11pm among thouseands of people as I was coming back from Wembley Stadium in 1992.
Iam fasinated to read any stories...

I haven't. However, if I were looking for them, I would look on the oldest lines. The East London line is the oldest, with parts of it dating back to the 1860's. The Bakerloo line is over a hundred years old, and so are parts of the Piccadilly and Central lines. Completely ignore the Victoria and Jubilee lines - those lines have little history at all - parts of the Jubilee are barely ten years old!
Good luck, and remember - there is a lot to look for on the system besides ghosts.
Have fun.

,I thought it was the best experience i have ever had. The murmurings and groaning seemed to echo through the station. As i turned one corner the chink of metal on metal. Then i heard it a muffled faint foreign voice that seemed to be instructing me to move along. NO just the usual staff and engineers employed to ignore you as much as they can. The Northern line is full of ghosts, they work there.

I saw that program and there are a number of things that need explaining but I can help thinking that there is an explanation for them but in a complex and strange environment like the underground system that explanation, apart from someone having a joke of course, could itself be complex and strange

I saw that program too, very interesting.
A ghost of a monk has been seen by many at our local bus station/shopping centre which is built on the site of a medieval monastery!
I can personally testify that ghost phenomena is a reality!

Nope. Though I've only caught the Central, the Jubilee and the Northern late at nights.
I don't believe in ghosts, but if I did, I reckon they'd hang out with Bakerloo.
