There's a huge church-building boom in my area. Why? Most of those congregations still have plenty of space in the churches they've already got. It's often just a case of "keeping up with the Joneses" at this point. The Baptist church got a huge, ostentatious, oversized new building, so now the Methodists, Presbyterians and everybody else have to have one, as well. How about less of an emphasis on the outer church building, and more on building an internal sense of true Christian charity and sharing? Putting a new vaulted roof on a church ceiling isn't doing a thing to help feed the hungry or aid the poor.
Also, it's annoying that so many people think that all Christians are Fundamentalists, when that's simply not the case. I'm not a Fundamentalist, never have been, and am tired of people thinking that I'm one as soon as I say that I'm a Christian.

Every religion has the same value and importance as the almighty God has itself. Also, in the eyes of God all are equal and he treats them like his own children with no difference. If so,then why we,re fighting each other on the basis of cast-ism.Today, it is very necessary for us to understand and follow the preaches of Jesus Christ once again. He was crucified for his deep devotion in God and speaking truth only. And the result was, some uncultured and un-educated people did a very big sin in the eyes of Almihgty Great Father. So, we shouldn't afraid of terrorism, but we should come together and kill the terrorism by root.

I don't particularly care for televangelists, and I don't like the fact that some people CLAIM to be Christians just because they hold Christian beliefs...don't they realize that it takes more than BELIEVING to be a Christian?
I know there are people like that everywhere, but with our crime rates being some of the worst in the world...I'd say that we almost have a monopoly on hypocrisy.

There is nothing about the way Christianity is practiced in America that irritates me. The problem is that a large number of Christians (and, therefore Churches) seem to have forgotten (or deemed unimportant) some of the core ideals we should strive for.
Jesus taught us that "blessed are the peacemakers", but some Churches seem to promote war and derision. Jesus taught us to "love thy neighbor", but some Churches seem to promote hatred of those who are different, deviant, or "not in line". Some Churches teach that one’s personal and exclusive relationship with Jesus matters far more than the Savior's admonitions to care for the poor, the weak, and the oppressed.
My irritation is not with the way Christianity is practiced, but with those who practice "selective Christianity".
Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For,
"Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn from evil and do good;
he must seek peace and pursue it." (1 Peter 3:8-11)
Many seem to have forgotten that. May God forgive me if I have repayed insult with insult or promoted derision.

I wouldn't allow Televangelists-I think they're so busy playing to the camera that they forget that there are real people out there who really do need to hear the Word. I can't imagine that was the way Jesus preached--getting all red in the face- shouting at the top of his lungs- crying crocodile tears-Ugh, its all too much, and I don't think it really helps to create a good impression of what Christianity is.

My friend, It's not just for American, but for Christians everywhere, throughout the world.
We should all live what we learn and when we muck up, or even if we don't, if someone holds resentment against you, forgive and apologise, or if it wasn't a sin against some-one (and even if it was).
ALL sin is a sin against our Loving God,
Repent.
And that means to ask God for forgiveness and learn to walk closer to Him (in every way), so that it is less likely to happen again.

I was first attracted to this commandment Jesus gave which is a must for all which will change our life and also others life happy inspite of mockings we get.
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Mathew 22:36-40
We do not love God, when we face problems, we do not love others when they dont do what we want. But if we ask God to give our heart enough love, it is the best place to live. And I know heaven will be so.

Get rid of a paid ministry and all church buildings. Let ministry be done in the homes and in the public.

I supose it's the same as it is practiced here.... do you include small cults in the word "christianity"? If yes, I am annoyed a bit when "missionaries" come to me trying to explane me how their religion is better.
