Why is it the Lord will forgive my many transgressions but I can't find it in me to forgive myself ?

If God has forgiven you, then there's no reason not to forgive yourself. But I know sometimes it's hard. Here's a suggestion. Have a final prayer about this. Mark the date and remember it. Thank God for forgiving you and ask Him to help you forgive yourself. Then, whenever the guilt creeps back up, say to yourself, "God and I settled that on September 18 (or whatever date) and I'm forgiven!" Then move on. Hope this helps.

Because God said that when he forgives your sins he forgets them too. YOu remember your sins and keep punishing yourself. God lets you start fresh and doesnt hold your past against you. IF your saved it has been taken care of by Jesus on the cross.

If you forgive you'll soon forget, and you want to remember.
