What do you think of ex-convicts? I was recently released from prison after serving almost 11 years. I am now 29 years old. I studied alot (on my own, contrary to popular belief, prisons do not offer anything past GED) while I was inside and therefore, I am well-spoken. But, I find that when I have to tell others that I have spent time in prison for Assault with Intent to Commit Murder, they change real fast. Am I now to be blackballed by the very same society that felt I was ready to be released? Why are people so afraid of prisoners? We all come from the same places that you come from. Most people have done something that could have landed them in prison, so why would they treat those who got caught differently that those who did not? Any suggestions on how I can try to start over again. It is hard enough trying to readjust after so many years, what should I do?

I am a palanthropist. I love to help people. I often run into people that have no support team. Society is real hard on people that come from difficult backgraounds. And I think it is sad. Have you done anything nice for someone lately? If not you should try to. You don't always have to give money, you can give a peson a kind word, or encourage them, a smile will even do. Let' become better people. Let's love one another and stop judging one another.

I think ADD/ADHD is the body reacting to a generation
of people who are responding to a family/culture shift

The school is longer, classes are longer a day
(7 instead of traditional 3)

sport figures are Gods, and your a nobody if you don't play
sports, or cheer for the "Gods"

Cheerleaders are drinking/on drugs
Could this be because all that time on who's popular
isn't all it's cracked up to be?

Remember when there was no ADHD
you know
when people had time for each other, and we could
just breath, sip tea, and TALK to each other?
Now, everyone wants to put out fires

time management is a JOKE
I'm glad women have a choice to work now, and I have been single, and I know how hard that it to be a single parent, but
should we really work if we don't have too when our kids are young?

i think hispanic people have the right idea
at least they are home with their
kids when they are young, even if some do live off the system

Their kids = nurtured OURS = daycare

O.K.
I'm in my mid teens. I just wanted to know your opinions on the following things

1) Gay marriage- my opinion: It doesn't hurt anyone, so comparing it to murder (which many people I have talked to have done) is absolutely ridiculous!?!?!
2)Hell- I don't believe in it or Satan
3) religion in general: 100's of thousands of people have died in RELIGIOUS wars, the war in iraq, is partly over religion! If god exists that's great, but instead of trying to convert people and worring about people, shouldn't you worry about yourself, and hope tha's enough for whatever devine power may exist?

I just think it's ironic that there has been so much persecution in the world over something that's supposed to be such a peaceful 'being'.... whew...

So any opinions are welcome.
ThankYou!
(I'm not being hateful or biased, I genuinely want to hear your opinions) and I know that was a mouthful!

Pretty much like Richard Dawkins' proselytism?

What have you done about it?

Thank you all in advance.

I am just asking because i noticed a fellow passenger on my bus doing this when we passed a catholic church (but not when we passed a church of ireland or presbyterian church)

is this a requirement or just a superstition (for example when I was a kid me and my brother used to lift out feet when driving past a graveyard)?

If it is a requirement is there a penalty for not complying?

First of all, I could care less if you don't like tarot, believe what you want, but don't answer this question if you're only going to preach at me for asking about them.
What type of cards to you use?
When did you first start using them?
Did you find them helpful?
What does tarot mean to you?
Do you read the cards for other people? Do they find them insightful?
Have you ever had a reading with negative feedback? What was the outcome?

Sin is the broken condition of the human race. The word for sin is an archery term that means "missing the bull's eye" - It's the observation that we've fallen short of what humanity was meant to be. Do you agree that this is true?

We are onslaughted by limitless atrocities every day in the newspapers, wars, terrorism, abuse, oppression...

"Nobody's perfect" is a given

You don't have to teach children NOT to share

Everyone has done something they regret & know they shouldn't have done.

Is it clear to you that sin is a real issue & accurately describes the human condition?

I am in the process of trying to become the woman I was meant to be, and I would appreciate any advice or tips to help me through my transition from male to female. I would also like to know what effects I will experience first due to hormone treatment, which I will hopefully be starting soon. As well as will the hormones help me prevent my penis from becoming erect, and anything else who has been through this can think of that will help me. Again any advice or tips, and info will be greatly appreciated.

All born-agains I talk to say that before they found God, or allowed the Lord into their hearts, they were on a horrible path, very unhappy, ill, a horrible person, etc.

But I've known people through this journey. And they weren't horrible people before.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, and I'm sure this will offend some, but do you think that the church or the Christian community convinces these people that before they knew God everything was horrible and He is the only answer?

This honestly creeps me out.

Don't get me wrong- I understand some people become Christian when they really are going through something horrible, but that's not what I'm referring to.

Also, once people have that mentality, is that how they look at everyone else? Even though I'm doing good, would an average born-again Christian see me as sick, a bad person, and unhappy?

I'm just asking cause I was watching Dispatches on CH4 and the reporter asked why so many Muslims believed people who leave Islam for another religion should be killed. The Inman replied that "we need better education for the muslims".
