this be possible? The proximity of the sun and the earth is so criticle that if the sun was any closer or further away it would mean disaster for the human race. But according to some scientists calculations even if the sun and the earth were here together even 300,000 years ago the sun would have been so large that it would have fried man, animal and plants on earth. And so they conclude that the earth can not be as old as some say. What do you say?

I know that Genesis says God created all in 6 days and the 7th day was to rest. Any calander I have seen has the first day of week Sunday and the 7th day is Saturday. Should the day to rest be Saturday?

It seems that people don't want to be bothered with questioning their government or standing up for their rights. There are so many answers to questions on Y/A that display and outright disinterest if not hate for anyone that questions the powers that be, and their actions. Have Americans really become a mindless fearfull heard of cattle for the rich and powerful? I always wondered while studying about Nazi Germany in school. How could the people of Germany have allowed Hitler to do what he did? Now I know.

I'v seen numerous postings today about Catholic practices. I wish I could answer them all, but I'm at work and I can only sneek in a quick answer now and then. I suggest to questioners that you go to Catholic Answers at http://www.catholic.com then look at the left sidebar: You will see many subjects. You can click on one and see tracts that will answer your questions. Also, the search engine will search 20 years worth of articles from "This Rock" magazine. There are a lot of great articles there too

The"official" Catechism Of The Catholic Church is online at: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/entiretoc1.htm
This is a difficult document to read. (The book is about three inches thick!) But, there is a wealth of information there too if you take the time to learn how to navigate it.

Please do not report me for not asking a legitimate question: I am only trying to help all the people who have been asking questions today.
If you read any of these links, I'd love to hear comments

Why are we not taught to prepare ourselves mentally for death? Maybe if we did we would be less scared to die.

I used to love this when I was little!
I've heard it's kind of coming back, but don't know where to start.
I would like to see if I can find one now to exchange handwritten letters and small trinkets. It's kinda cool to wait for something in the mailbox (the one out front, not the yahoo one).
I'm 31 and married, no kids. I live in the southeast US and enjoy fashion, cooking and pets. I'd love to find a similar girl from somewhere else in any country to learn about a different culture and have some laughs.
Please answer if you think it's cool, and I'll figure out how to get in touch :)

If someone you know who was seriously and permanently or terminally ill or disabled was miraculously healed 100% overnight, would you believe that God did it, or would you try to ascribe it to "nature" or the work of the doctors (even if the doctors didn't do anything)? If your response would be one of the latter two, would there be anything that you would consider to be something that only God could do?

Is there any real world basis for this "if God is for us who can be against us" verbiage coming out of Hamas?

Do people really think like that in the modern world, accessing their situations by rote faith instead if flexible reason?

and my mom wants to spread his ashes in two weeks. She wants to do it where they first got together at this overlook of the lake. My question is, should I keep some of his ashes? I'm not sure what to do. Do you think that's weird? I'm not very religious, but is there any connection to a person's soul and their ashes. What would you do? Thanks for any input.

Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to.

If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked.

If God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?

I suffered a personal tragedy some years back and got so upset that I cursed the world, God and everything in existence. I did it so hard and for a couple of serious minutes that all of a sudden a ring inside of me broke. I could hear my soul sort of cry like "oh no." Now I'm wondering if I can repair what I assume is a chakra that I broke. I know all of this sounds crazy, however, it has me worried.

Thanks

We all know that the bible was re-written by man, for men, to protect men- by eliminating all female aspects of the god.

Do you know why they made Mary Magdaline into a dirty whore? Do you know why they insisted females be virgins before marriage?

None of this bothers you? Why? I am furious that men have "kept us down" by use of christianity!
