I used to love this when I was little!
I've heard it's kind of coming back, but don't know where to start.
I would like to see if I can find one now to exchange handwritten letters and small trinkets. It's kinda cool to wait for something in the mailbox (the one out front, not the yahoo one).
I'm 31 and married, no kids. I live in the southeast US and enjoy fashion, cooking and pets. I'd love to find a similar girl from somewhere else in any country to learn about a different culture and have some laughs.
Please answer if you think it's cool, and I'll figure out how to get in touch :)

I had a couple of pen pals when I was a kid, one lived in the UK (northern England, if I remember) and the other lived in Australia.

I googled "snail mail pen pals" and all sorts of sites came up; why not give it a try. Let us know if you find some one to write to!

I hope you don't mind me answering, I am from the mid-southern part of the US, and I have never had a pen pal. The closest thing to one is an e-mail pal, but I know that is not the same thing. Just wanted to say that sounds like a cool idea though. Good luck finding one.

I had a French pen pal in the 8th grade. We had to write to them in French and they had to write back in English. It was great and, now that you mention it, it would be fabulous to get something other than bills in the mail! They have sites that are specifically for people looking for snail mail pen pals. Just do a google and you'll find them.

Yes, I had several when I was younger. Actually, the last one I had was in Germany and I was about your age. We wrote for several years, she got married, and shortly after that I never heard from her again.

I'd enjoy doing that again, too, with someone closer to my age and circumstances, especially a Christian woman.

Good question, not a dumb one. Thanks.

We were required to have one when I was in the 3rd grade. I don't remember her name and I'm sad for that, but I do remember that she was very nice.
