You need to be very specific if you wish for a good grade. The American Continents take in a lot of territory and a lot of Native American nations. You need to ask your teacher to narrow your subject of place and time with caveats.
Taking into account a climate or time parameter. During the Ice ages, there were no Tropical rain forests at all from the arctic to the Antarctic on either continent. There is a possibility that once a rain forest stood where the everglades now reign, with an indiginous people whose artifacts are beginning to be found, so if your parameter is within the USA you may use them. If the parameter is from the arctic to the equator, and the climate is in warm period, there are many indigenous peoples.

You would have to be looking for the "tribes" of Central and South America, since that is where the tropical climates are.
There are many remnants of well known civilizations still living in the mountains and jungles of Central and South America. The descendants of the Incas live in the high mountains of Peru. Descendants of the Mayans still live in Central America and Mexico. And there are 100's of smaller groups living in the Amazon region of Brazil.
Here is a listing of some of the better known ancient civilizations of Central and South America
Olmecs, Teotihuacan, Toltecs, Aztecs, Mayas, Chavin, Tiahuanaco, and Inca... I'm sure you can find information on each of these using the internet...

By the broadest definition everyone lives in tribes (except maybe Americans). A tribe is a group of people of a common race and culture who live together in a society. No, Native Americans don't live like they did in the movies. A good place to start is the mystery series by Tony Hillerman.

Sorry, American means American and as far as this ol gal knows there are not any tropical rain forests in the United States. You may be looking for Mayans, or Incas but not Native American Tribes. Just a thought.

The bocanegra in Brazil still live in the tropical forests (at least they did during the 70's) but there are only a handful that still live among the wild like that.

"lilabner" is right. Native American and rain forest do not compute. Maybe you mean indigenous tribe(s) or people.
