The fact that Jesus was who He was didn't prevent Him from being tempted by Satan in the wilderness. God will deliver us from evil if we follow Him and obey Him; we often have to tread through evil in order to get past it. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had to go through the fiery furnace in order to be delivered from it. Daniel had to go into the lion's den in order to be delivered from it.
Likewise, and contrary to popular theology, God's saved people will have to go through the Tribulation in order to be delivered from it.

Who are the evil ones? Who are the good ones? When was the battle fought?

God is not the one testing you. Satan is alive and well on the earth and his job is still trying to turn our souls away from God. Satan wants to be worshiped and he does not care what he has to do to accomplish this. He will lie and murder and then try to tell us it is God's will that this happened.

There is no god, there is no evil nemesis.

There is just you, your ethics and desires and the laws of the land that you live in.

There is no one to be delivered from. There is no one to deliver you apart from yourself.
