I'm just asking cause I was watching Dispatches on CH4 and the reporter asked why so many Muslims believed people who leave Islam for another religion should be killed. The Inman replied that "we need better education for the muslims".

I think we are missing the point here. I find it disturbing that Muslims who are flocking to live in Britain need to be educated NOT to kill people. I´m sorry but i thought this was commonsense.

Why do we need to read the Quran to understand muslims??? Shouldn´t muslims understand the way of life of the country they have moved to?

I just find it sad how a small majority of people get sooo taken into what the Media has to say and do not look for facts for themselves.
A vast majority of ordinary people through-out the Muslim world are not better educated, the Qur'an is actually in Arabic, and as this religion originated from the Middle East, it is also a global religion with many followers of several different languages, I think people SHOULD actually find out for themselves what the Qur'an actually says and what it means..rather then have the meaning and the words handed down from one generation to another i.e what Lubna was trying to say....nowadays what we see is organised religion, people interprete the words to suit themselves when infact what they're really doing is DISTORTING it.
Dont think any religion in the world can say put so n so to death just because they've chosen to follow another faith.
I note from Furqan's message, those that choose to kill actually goes against the Qur'anic teaching too. So, should these people be allowed to even call themselves Muslims??Most people through no fault of their own are just born Muslims yet do not know the religion for themselves.
I still think re-educating these people might be a good start.

As a Christian I have heard that answer before, the majority of third world countries in the world are muslim, I ask that question to a muslim and he said they needed better education, he also said they did terrorist attacks because of lack of education, What I can't understand is why they have a lack of education when they have all the oil and they should be the richest countries in the world, there is something very wrong here, I am no scholar but I think the muslims need to come together and unite and try to solve their problems without all this voilence.

I'm Muslim and I do agree with that statement. Most 3rd world countries out there the majority are Muslim and they are poorly educated and they get taught what their parents teach them and their parents get taught what their parents teach them, and etc. It's just a pattern that needs to stop. If there was education for these Muslims we'd have a lot more respect as Muslims in this society.

Educate your selves even if you wanted to go to china- was the the instruction given by Prohet Mohamed(SAVS) to his followers in 6th century Ad when Europe was under Dark Age.Eduction still require for others who creticises Islamic rules with out properly analyzing them

After watching a couple of "stoning" videos, I agree with the Imam. Seems the crowds doing the stoning either enjoying what they were doing or were just yelling to drown out their thought processess. "Uncivilized" is a mild word.
