I am the type that gives it all and then some...... those that I love understand that I do NOT seperate them into groups or boxes, I love my friends as much as I love my blood kin..... the kind of love I have for my husband might fall into a different catagory of the heart but it is not realy that much more intense than what I feel for my sons, grand kids, parents, siblings and friends..... the ONLY higher intense love I have is for God...... The way I love people leads to LOTS of heart break, but I do not know how to love differently...... go in peace....... God bless

Can I answer that with a poem I once wrote?
(Copywritten 1987)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I TAKE MY LEAVE OF THEE
I take my leave of thee.
I have loved as best I know.
I have given all my strength, heart, life and soul -
And all you can bid me is, "Go!"
I take my leave of thee -
Knowing my love was not wasted
On some trifle, unimportant thing -
but spent instead
On one more precious than I've ever known.
I take my leave of thee -
For I am not the one you wanted,
And I cannot make myself as such.
I cannot make you need me -
Nor do I wish to do so.
Forced caring is nothing but masked hatred
And that I could not bear.
I take my leave of thee -
And give you the freedom that was always yours.
I never had any hold upon you
That you, yourself did not place there.
You were always a butterfly
Upon my finger -
Never in a jar.
But if my absence will let you see
That you are truly free --
Then I take my leave of thee.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(I told him I would love him forever.
I was right.)

Now - the lonliness is often consuming - but I have God - and God alone. He IS love.

1st Corinthians 13:4-8a Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. Love is eternal.

Isaiah 54:1 Sing, O barren woman, you that have not bore a child; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says the LORD....
Isaiah 54:4 Don't be afraid or ashamed and don't be discouraged. You won't be disappointed. Forget how sinful you were when you were young; stop feeling ashamed for being left a widow. (Spinster.)
Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband; the LORD of hosts is His name: and the Holy One of Israel is your redeemer; the God of the whole earth He is called.

Peace... from the brokenhearted...

'Love is a many splendid thing' as the song goes, but life isn't always splendid. Love to me means wanting the very best for another person. I want the very best for all people even if I don't know them so maybe that is all of my heart and maybe not. God is Love and with that said, that's it.

I've finally given my whole heart. Love can be a wonderful thing and it can be terrifying also. It's the greatest power.

I agree with the first answer. Love is the greatest thing in the world. Let me put it this way.... I love my husband so much that I'm willing to leave everything I've ever known and loved to be by his side in another country for the rest of my life.

Depends on who we are talking about loving. You left out 0% a blatant evidence of discrimination. Have you spoken with an attorney as is your Constitutional right?

Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?
