Matthew 18:21-22 "Then Peter came up and said to him, 'Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.'"

Can you disfellowship a person and have them re-enstated 7X77 equals 539 times? If you make them wait a year for the elders to believe, through his proof that he is truely repentant?

I am very isolated in my home since I am disabled and unable to drive. My doctor told me to find people online to talk to and email, but I keep finding mostly people a lot younger than I am (48) and I don't want to talk in the shorthand people use these days. The penpals sites usually give me people from far away who don't speak English very well, and the chat sites are meaningless to me. I am an educated woman who just needs some social time without the kids and perverts. Can anyone give me some leads?

Is there a way that you could connect them by like how appearances aren't always as they seem. Because Hades isn't really a bad guy, but people just seem him as bad because he's king of the underworld. Who could relate to that, and be similar in other ways?

"When the student is ready, the teacher will appear."
-Loa Tzu

In my life, I have had and continue to have many teachers. Sometimes they take on a role of many years with me, and sometimes it is a chance encounter, a simple conversation.
One such teacher was a WWII veteran I met while waiting to find out if I had thyroid cancer. I was very afraid. He sat in a wheelchair in the waiting room. He was very kind and started talking about his life. He said he had a wonderful wife and they had been married 45 years. They married before the war. When he was injured, he wrote and told her that he was setting her free to marry someone else. She wrote back and told him to stop being silly, he was the love of her life. When he returned home, missing both legs, she had had his workshop in the garage remodeled to accommodate his wheelchair. As we talked, I suddenly was no longer worried about myself. I consider that man to be one of my greatest teachers.

They say that if you make it to Heaven that you "live" forever. I have trouble putting my brain around an eternal existence. What could that mean? Will there be plans and adventures? Will things go wrong? Will people fall in and out of love. Will there be animals? Will there be accidents? Will it be a theocracy? Why doesnt the Bible say what goes on there?

you believe for a fact with true intentions, and with faith & some kind of spiritual knowledge, you can meet a angel or Christ.

How about, if you go through the process of ascetism you think you can have a divine meeting with an angel?

I was told(by a recent convert from Pentecostal to LDS) that the Pentecostal church teaches it's members to stay away from Mormons...

Why?! Why do Pentecostals have such a problem with them?

Bismillah ar rahman ar rahim,
Alamdiullah ,I reverted to Islam last march and I tell you I have been in a complete state of peace. I don't understand why people assume Islam is a religion of danger. It is wonderful news that 20,000 women in America revert (convert) to Islam each year. InshAllah I hope more people in the West read the message of Allah and follow the true path of Allah before they insult Islam.
Salaam and Peace

My husband's second cousin and his wife are coming in from France, and I would like to bring a small gift as they have sent us a few gifts over the last year or so. I'm just not sure what to purchase for them, especially considering they are not incapable of purchasing more extravagent items, from what I understand. Basically, what do you buy the couple who has everything, AND lives in France!?!?!?!?!? Also, it must be something small enough and sturdy enough to bring home with them. Thanks!

I've seen the Right Eye of Horus described as a few things, one is a symbol for health and protection (safety) and another is this: "The Right Eye of Horus represents concrete factual information controlled by the left brain. It deals with words, letters, and numbers and those things which are describable in terms of sentences or complete thoughts. It approaches the universe in terms of male oriented ideation."
Which is the actual meaning? Or do they both describe the meaning of the Eye of Horus?

It can be just as easily your white ancestors were abolitionist and against slavery. I just realized that today. That yeah, your ancestors could have been abolitionist. If your ancestors migrated up North, they were probably against slavery..

1. In the book of Romans 3:28 the apostle Paul says that a man is not justified by the deeds (works or obeying) the law but by faith alone.
James 2:14,17-18, 20 says that faith without works is dead.
Can someone please explain the two different views.

2. Ro. 4:1-2 states that Abraham's faith was counted as righteousness. But he didn't just believe what God said to him, he acted upon that. Is this not works to indicate that he believed what God said?

3. Ro. 4:20 says that Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith...
What would you consider him lying about his relationship with his wife as; or him giving in to her suggestion to sleep with Hagar to produce child as?

Why do we call Him God, and will we continue to call Him that when we discover His true name? This question came up as a result of studying Ps. 105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

:1b ...call upon his name;... The original meaning of this phrase is call (Him) by His name, i.e, call Him by the name that describe His divine perfections, or more specifically, call him by His name Yahweh.

Our heavenly Father has a name, and God is not one of them.

Could you live your life single / alone without feeling the love of another human? Wouldn't it get unbearably lonely?

I *know* God's love should be enough, but anyone out there who has that only & is content without feeling love/affection from others (be it family or friends)?

SEX!

Ha you thought about it right? Just like saying don't think about a pink elephant? Well guess what? Sex = Lust. It says in the Bible that thinking about Lust is the same as doing it.

Guess what? You just sinned and are worthy hellfire =D In fact since every sin is the same, you have the same amount of Sin as Hitler right now.

So do I get satan points for causing people to sin or what?
Have a nice day =D
