Some of these questions are really pointless...but I have to say I love how the yahoo community is so nice about it...usually.

There is never a stupid question ... seriously.
Someday you are going to ask a question that might seem stupid to someone else and you will know what I am talking about.
Not everyone understands something so they ask questions. They seek answers that people around them cannot answer or they are too embarrassed to ask in person. To seek knowledge is a very good trait to have whether or not it seems stupid to you.
The lesson here is ... the only stupid question is the one never asked.

A lot ot times i ask a question that is obviously meant to be a joke. Most people take it as such, yet always one or two crabby people want to pop in and try to ruin the fun for everyone else.
Lighten up - does every question on here have to be serious?

I love your question! Because a question costs the asker five points originally, the person asking the pointless (stupid) question must either be ignorant of its inanity or sincerely stupid! What other options are there?!

well, the reason why they're asking is because they don't know the answer to their question or might as well, they dont know how to rephrase the question itself.. thats why we have the yahoo answers so those STUPID questions are answered accordingly. and the point here is why someone will ask a question that could be answered by himself? right?

The welding instructor that I had in high school told me that there is no such thing as a stupid question. If you don't know, ask.
I have also been told that there is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people that ask them. You take your pick.

People ask stupid questions for several reasons:
1) They are young
2) They actually ARE stupid
3) They are malicious
4) They are inexperienced
For any of those scenarios, the asker is usually someone I feel sorry, and that's reason enough to answer.

I like YA because some people ask silly questions just for fun and some people ask serious questions.
So you can come on here and get advice on how to fix your car or you can just mess about.
