Were I ever to speak to a minister it would be about myself and not someone else.

Thank you for giving me a best answer on the other question and for your comments.

Most time when i go to minister, I talk about myself.
What will make me to talk about someone else is when the person has instructed me that when you get to the minister (man of God) table my case before him/her that is when I can do that.

But there are some cases when you are to intervene on behalf of someone to a minister e.g. interceeding, welfare of the person (may he needs some financial assistance) and so on.

Boy, that's situational. If I had the problem, I would talk to my minister about me. If someone else had the problem, I would talk to my minister about someone else.

Matthew 18:15-20
15 "Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.' F88 17 And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
This is what I would do if I were to speak to my pastor about someone else...they (the person being spoken about) would already be aware that was what I was going to do...
However when speaking to my pastor, usually we are discussing Theology, or Biblical principles or something that I wanted to share about Praising the Lord!

It would be about me or, a passage of Scripture that I am confused about.

My Dad, was a pastor and when people came to him, wagging tongues, he did not chastize them! Instead, he went to the scriptures and gave them the Word of God, on what Paul had to say to one of the churches, pertaining to two women who were at odds with one another!

I think he made it very clear as who can argue with the scriptures on such things? This kept the tongue waggers a little out-of-business.

You see, there is not room for this behavior in the Church! We are to go to one another, if we have an "ought" against someone, and make it right! Why involve anyone, just practice our faith and forgive!

It would be about God and the desire to keep GOds church speaking the full truths of the HOly BIble and not just the parts they are comfy with. and by the way, I do speak, often. We are called to be watchmen on the wall, and I accepted that position, as many are in these last days with so much error creeping in. Stand up for Gods truths all of them, as we are commanded to do.

Don't have a "minister" as I am the "leader" or PRIEST of our faith here and I don't "talk" to myself or anyone else to resolve problems. I take those matters up with the Lord in heaven.

It would be about him. The entire church was wearing a pin that Said "I love my pastor". I did for a day, then realized . . how could I lvoe him . . . I don't even know him. Everyitme I try to talk to him, he runs away.

I'd ask him if he thinks it's appropriate to say you love someone you don't know and if it is more about a popularity issue for him.

It could be about either. I may ask for guidence or advice about my own life or I may ask for advice on how to help someone else. Depends on the situation.
