If someone outside of the Christian religion claimed that an illegitimate demigod committed suicide to save them from his own rules, since apparently he and his father are the same, even though there are two of them, leaving a third spook to watch over things (which is also part of the other two, somehow), what would Christians say about them? Or would the Christians start screaming "blasphemy" at the words illegitimate and demigod? Is this making sense to anybody? It doesn't make sense to us non-Christians either!

I am a Christian(straight) - and I think it seems that homosexuality is being viewed as more sinful than other sins, and aren't they all sins and doesn't God hate all sins? and yet Christians hold up God Hates Fags signs and all - and God doesn't hate them at all. He hates their sin, but He hates ALL SIN. any time Christians do things like that - it makes the divide between Christians and gays worse. Many Christians feel like there is no way they could ever be gay - but if God's hand weren't protecting you - you could be just as gay - so many of these people have been sexually abused - and many of them by pastors and church people and for them to be getting all this anger from Christians is just not the way to go. I hear it all the time on Christian radio. The other day I heard this - "We hope we can convnce the gays that we are right and they are wrong" - that sums up the attitude. But instead - I think we should be trying to convince gays that we love them. right?

I have read that the soul can be banished from the Maker (God)...but that is not death...
The individual works out their own salvation and they banish themself from their maker...

This is the hard part....what if the world was to make one day where EVERYONE thought of other people's needs first and foremost.

And I do realize taht this is probably an impossible goal. But hey, let me dream.

No unkind words, and everyone everywhere put others' needs first.

What would happen if just for one day this would happen?

Protestantism expounds on things being preordained. If this is indeed the case, then these so-called sinners are not responsible for their actions. They have been "set up" by God. Therefore, they are merely playing a part. And if this is the case, then there is no such thing as sin, only offence against the sensibilities of other human beings.

created goes according to Him plan except man.
I was watching the nature channel and was at awe how plants, animals and the earth are in perfect harmony. But man......
If the weather is bad, man blames God - not the smog and God only knows what other junk man puts in the atmosphere.
If a bridge collapse, man blames God - not the incompetent creep that built it or failed to upkeep it.
If God is not seen, there is no God - not realizing God works with us, not for us. God work through humans actions/deeds towards us.

Of course, Emotion-at the very heart of the emotional rejection of Truth (I think the Atheists know what I am talking about - or do they?),is the mysterious Doubt.
The ego (which is trying to survive as an ego) must doubt Truth to keep from being humiliated.
Doubt, you see, being the opposite of Faith, has its own, animal (evolutionary?) energy-Emotion!
What about Faith-from whence comes her energy?
From faith in the Truth, comes love, and love is the defense of a light-seeking soul. Just as Faith joins us to and draws upon the power of God, Doubt repel Truth by drawing upon the power of stress (that's why they need lots of Caffeine n liquor,etc)-that emotional-assist factor provided by uncle Devil evil-Live lives backwards.
Emotion is the primitive, driving force of Pride, as LOVE is the Divine Energy of Humility.

Again, are you moving in Faith by His Grace or driven by Doubt with the latest Emotion-Engine supplied be satan?

What say you all?

Well, I must admit, this must be the pinnacle of the truth that human beings fear what they don't understand. I recently dropped my wallet exiting a store, and when I was contacted that my wallet was left behind, upon my return, the store manager punched me in the face for "having the gall to refuse the almighty lord, god" upon fondling through my wallet enough to find my red card tucked between my Discover and American Express. Someone, please tell me why "logically thinking, accepting christians" are so quick to judge others by the name of their beliefs, instead of the quality. Next time, try to learn before you judge someone who actually has similar moral values.

They are all based upon what you are told to believe, rather than what you can learn and experience and see for yourself. So in the end, they are ALL basically the same. Be it buddhism, hinduism, judaism, christianity or all the other freakjobs out there. Yet, just as christianity was once scoffed at for being a cult, the same "christians" and most all the other differing religions these days, say the same thing about every OTHER religion out there. Poor misguided souls, or so they presume... All of them make me laugh, but I would like an opinion besides "the bible (or koran or whatever else) says this" so it HAS to be true...

Factually speaking, there is no way to prove God's existence with material evidence.

If you believe that believers should prove there is a God, why?
