Of course, Emotion-at the very heart of the emotional rejection of Truth (I think the Atheists know what I am talking about - or do they?),is the mysterious Doubt.
The ego (which is trying to survive as an ego) must doubt Truth to keep from being humiliated.
Doubt, you see, being the opposite of Faith, has its own, animal (evolutionary?) energy-Emotion!
What about Faith-from whence comes her energy?
From faith in the Truth, comes love, and love is the defense of a light-seeking soul. Just as Faith joins us to and draws upon the power of God, Doubt repel Truth by drawing upon the power of stress (that's why they need lots of Caffeine n liquor,etc)-that emotional-assist factor provided by uncle Devil evil-Live lives backwards.
Emotion is the primitive, driving force of Pride, as LOVE is the Divine Energy of Humility.

Again, are you moving in Faith by His Grace or driven by Doubt with the latest Emotion-Engine supplied be satan?

What say you all?

We exercise faith every day. You sat in a chair to type your question on a computer. Did you question whether or not that chair would hold you up? No, you never gave it a second thought because "faith" has to do with "trust". In other words, you had faith in the designers of the chair, the materials used to construct it, and the history that it has never broken when you placed your full weight upon it (this involves reason as logic in its exercise). Faith in God is based on those principles as well.

Yes, we have proof of God. It was provided by God Himself.

Faith is choosing to believe the evidence as given and not trying to rationalize it away to suit your own position. Hebrews notes the following regarding faith...

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for."
OK, materialists, what is a substance? It is something you can physically hold--it is a reality. The word "hope" is not "I hope my car won't run out of gas." but rather, in the Greek, it means, "I'm running out of gas, but there is a gas station--I now have hope." So faith is the reality of that which gives salvation.

"The evidence of things not seen."
Do you believe in atoms? Have you seen atoms? Why do you believe there are atoms? Because you have evidence. Evidence of things not seen. That doesn't make you a moron. That makes you a chemist and a physicist.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Let's look at this closely:
"Emotion is the primitive, driving force of Pride"

Pride is an emotion, and should not be set aside as something else. "Emotion is generally regarded by Western civilization as the antithesis of reason. This distinction stems from Western philosophy specifically Cartesian dualism and modern interpretations of Stoicism, and is reflected in common phrases like appeal to emotion or your emotions have taken over."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotion#Emotion.2C_Meta-emotion.2C_and_Reason

"From faith in the Truth, comes love"
The very definition of faith: "Mental acceptance of and confidence in a claim as truth without proof supporting the claim." Faith and truth are dissimilar. What you feel as being faith in the truth is your emotional response.

"the mysterious Doubt."
Anything that is questionable or causes doubt, especially an argument or a claim. In branches of philosophy like logic, much of the exercise is to distinguish what is dubious and what is probable or certain. Much of illogic rests on dubious assumptions or data or conclusions, with rhetoric, whitewashing, and deception being in the same category.

First: it does not take an authority in forensic linguistics to establish that the question and right here info weren't written by utilising an analogous individual. i can deduce a lot approximately you from the grammar and wording of your question, different than for the reality which you think of reducing and pasting somebody else's concepts will make you look sensible. As for something... in case you think of that technological know-how confirms that guy became created from dirt... properly... how can i say this without being rude.... Oh ok, I have been given it. you're showing an entire loss of cognitive skills.

As usual, you are blithering away about bull sh i t. You have no idea on what you are talking about do you?. Face it, atheists do not believe God exists. Ego, truth, faith and love have nothing to do with.

I say you're religious philosophy major. You should work in a fertilizer factory as a salesman.

Faith is a character flaw. Faith means to believe in the absence of reason and evidence - i.e. an unjustified belief. If we assume that having justified beliefs is a good thing then having faith is a bad thing, and having doubt is a good thing.

I think doubt is a very natural thing that comes with the fact that we lack full knowledge on a matter. Doubt exists in lots of fields outside of theology, but it gets the most attention in the field of religion.

Doubt exists for us in religion because God is a sui generis - a unique being unlike any other in the universe. We doubt because when we come to know things we do so by comparison to what we already know, but with God we can't do that. We have to take him for who he is, and that's hard for us until we set aside all we do know and come to know Him as He is.
