Jesus freed us from legalism. We all need to take a day each week to worship.
It is crucial to worship with other believers.
If one does this on another day they are good to go.

I agree that Sunday is for church and resting. Years ago shops and work places were not open on Sunday's. We would spend Sundays going to church in the morning and then the rest of the day at my Grandparents house with my Uncle's, Aunty and cousins. Now since they have changed everything life is busier. We don't see family as much and we work more. We were slowly forced to do this. If they had left it as it was we would be more likely to rest on Sundays. At my last job there was a girl that used to start half an hour later than everybody else becasue she used to go to church and everyone else used to complain about it. She only got paid for the time she worked and she was doing the right thing so I really don't understand why they were complaining. I agree with you about Sunday's (maybe apart from the "go to hell" bit) but I think some people would have rested on sundays if work didn't push them to work. I also try to do all houswork on other days and leave Sunday's for church, family and resting.

The sabbath is Saturday not Sunday. The first church would honor Jesus's sacrifice on the first day of the week Sunday is a day to honor and remember Jesus it is not the Sabbath. After Jesus's death we were released from the old testament law. We no longer have to observe the Old Testament rules. The make good guides for us but that is it.

Some people have to work on Sundays out of necessity. There are other religions that celebrate the Sabbath on Saturdays. Don't be too quick to judge others, as I'm sure they have legitimate reasons to work on Sundays, other than greediness. Incidentally, some people never go to church, but worship in their homes privately. There is nothing in the Bible that says church attendance is necessary to get to Heaven.

Some people have to work on Sundays, holidays, everyday, in order to keep a modern industrialized society from falling apart, such as the people who work on the electrical power grid, police, firemen, health professionals, utilities repairmen. Others have to work on Sundays because their businesses require it, like gas stations and restaurants. If they refuse to work Sundays, their boss will hire someone else instead. Tell you what, talk to your church members next Sunday and urge them not to go out to a restaurant for lunch or dinner on Sundays, or take a Sunday drive through the countryside, and those hardworking people at the gas stations and restaurants can have the day off one day too.

If it's against God's law, why do so many "Christians" support a political party which gives businesses the ability to MAKE people work on Sunday?

Because it is part of their job requirements. People get sick on any day, so doctors, nurses and paramedics have to work. People commit crimes on Sundays, so police have to work. Fires can happen on sunday, so fire fighters have to work. I'm sure god can forgive those people for saving lives.
However, a lot of shops are open on Sunday. This is because businesses pressured governments to let them open up on Sunday to get more profits. You could blame them, but we could also blame ourselves. We all demanded that we should be able to get our fuel/milk/McDonalds whenever we need it. If you're going to be so "holy", practise what you preach and don't go to the shops on Sunday, no matter how hungry you are.

actually the Sabbath is Friday evening to after sundown on Saturday. Constantine changed it around the year 300 when he proclaimed Christianity the religion of Rome and he changed a lot of Jewish traditions, customs, laws so the "new" religion wouldn't be the same as Judaism. So, why are YOU going to work on Saturday???

i'm not sure it has something to do with the older earth gets the more people are moving away from the word of GOD. I remember going to the store on sundays in 1970 and they had the toys covered up with plastic so you couldn't buy them on Sunday

Do everyone a favor and show where it says in Scripture that it is against the "lords law" to work on Sundays.
News flash! It isn't there.
You are making it up.
Not a smart thing to do.

I don't think it's a sin not to go to church. Some people pray in their own ways, that's okay. As long as your worshiping the Lord, He doesn't care how your doing it.
