Actually, I kind of agree with Jill. The Dark ages and the Renaissance were hard times for Christianity. It was during those times the teaching were taken from the people and given exclusively to the hierarchy. It was the during the Renaissance (a supposedly enlightened time) that women became 'evil' in the eyes of the church and when the fallacy came that Eve tricked Adam into eating the fruit. I believe that many are coming back to the heart of Jesus' teachings now.
