My favorite thing to do on my off time is to visit my family on the weekends. My sisters, stepmother and I have periodical visits where we go out to brunch and catch up with family news or events in our lives. I value this time because they live quite a distance from me. Also, I enjoy the interaction, particularly with my younger sister. She is quite ill, in need of a kidney transplant, and she also has been close to me. My older sister raised her children on her own, also has a daughter who is in high school. She has no man in her life. So she and I have developed an excellent relationship with one another. We spend time shopping together, going to flea markets, or just sitting in her home talking for hours on end. I also have developed a better relationship with my stepmother, as well. She and I had quite a bitter relationship when I was a child. She has since become a Christian, and we have developed a beautiful, spiritual relationship through these meetings. For me, these are times I enjoy the most. Unfortunately since I work nights my time is limited throughout the week.

Have a steaming cup of tea, or coffee, and curl up on the sofa with a good book.
