Is it a lack of basic education or inbreeding?

I'm sick of trying to answer questions from Americans who cannot spell and or use incorrect words to try in their feeble attempts to put their point or question across.

Most of their questions could be answered by using a simple search engine and most of the rest should be sorted out first with their other juvenile playground friends.

Is it any wonder people like myself take advantage of your bad grammar and spelling to give us a laugh?

E'-li, E'-li, la'-ma sa-bach'-tha-ni?
(from Matthew 27: v46)

I know that the Crucifiction of Jesus is seen as a sacrifice for the forgivness of sins.
However, the words in the question above, were one of the last things that Jesus said.

They MUST have huge significance.

My own view is that they are an expession of an Existential state of Isolation and that Jesus needed to become fully human and experience Seperation and Limitation.

Only then could a Reconcilliation between Spirit and Man occur. An Integration of BOTH perspectives.

If this pastor is rallying for gay themed books to be pulled from the shelves of a local library....should we also pull religious themed books from these shelves?
- A tax funded library should not support or endorse any religions by stocking certain books
-Or can't we all just get along, and allow books from all interests to be stocked.

-Interesting point to the article...before the pastor publicized his gimmick to remove the gay themed books, no one had checked the books out....now there is a waiting list. Ignorant fundie.

-Last thought, why would an inner city Baptist Church, in the heart of the gay community, call an anti-gay pastor...shouldn't a church be reaching out to serve the community it is in? Don't think having a homophobe at this church is going to invite gay people in the door.

Your thoughts? Gay books/religious books being offered at a library....and gay neighborhood church calls antigay pastor

Jesus´s action in allowing himself to be crucified when he could prevent it (after all he was God or so some people say, so he could do anything ) was surely suicide in some form. Preachers always tell us to be like Jesus. So should we commit suicide too?

If I walked through some dodgy area at dead of night and was accosted by some guy with a knife or gun who threatened to kill me, and I could escape but chose not to, wouldn´t that be suicide?

It's been said, that for those who believe, no proof is necessary. And for those who don't believe, no proof is sufficient. From what I've seen, evidence such as nature, morals, intelligent design, conscience, the fact that we are alive, etc. has been deemed insufficient to prove the existence of God. So, what WOULD convince an atheist?

I just want to know who here knows his/her roots,

as for me, according to my family tree which is authenticated by the internal ministry of Saudi Arabia, that i am a descendent of Ishmael the son of Abraham (peace be upon them both)..

What about you... Do you know your roots...?

I ask to know if people still care about their roots and history...

This is my family tree, it is in Arabic, but the name at the most bottom in the tree reads "From the son of Ishmael son of Abraham".. http://www.almozaini.com/shagrh.jpg

that I'm just dumb, OR that my faith wasn't strong in the first place?

Here's the question:
If god has a pre-destined plan for all of us, then what is the point of having free will?

Because, me... I don't know the answer - and I think it's a valid question. What's that mean?

This applies to all. If you don't have children, imagine that you do. If you're an Athiest, imagine that your children choose to follow some religion. If you're a Christian, imagine that they decide that they are truly and Athiest or Muslim or Morman. Same for all other religions.
