Actually witnessing the rapture.
Or if he manifested himself visibly in my room at night and answered some of my tough questions.

How about an appearance by God?
If there really were a God, it'd be very easy for Him to demonstrate His existence. Put in an appearance, perform a few miracles, tell me some things that no-one knows, and you'd at least have me thinking there's a good chance it's the real deal. How about just making the house across the street rise slowly into the air, turn upside down, spin around twice while changing colors, and then come back to its original position completely unharmed? Or regenerating a few soldiers' severed limbs? And do it while holding an intelligent conversation with me in English, French, and Spanish.
If there really were a God, that would be easy. But notice that we don't get anything remotely like that. We don't get any evidence at all that there's a God. What we get instead is a bunch of rude people who can't spell or put together a coherent argument, who are willfully ignorant of science and logic angrily accusing us of being narrow-minded and hard-hearted because we don't respond to their rudely presented bad arguments by agreeing to join their little club.
If you had any evidence, you'd present it, instead of repeating this accusation that atheists are simply refusing to be convinced. I'd be convinced quite readily by evidence, but there just isn't any. Face the facts.

Belief that a god had anything to do with nature, morals and our being 'alive' are not remotely proof of anything more than the gullibility and superstitious nature of the great uneducated.
The only possible proof would OBVIOUSLY be god landing on the White House lawn. Anything less is merely more rambling biblical rubbish from believers.

I would need to actually have God appear to me in a waking normal state of consciousness and demonstrate his power and divinity. Otherwise, any so called "proof" could be attributed to natural phenomenon. I simply don't understand who an all powerful, omnipresent being would have a problem actually proving that he exists. Faith should not be necessary.

Anything that could not be explained by naturalistic processes alone, unlike nature, morals, conscience or life.
Note that intelligent design is not on the list since there is no evidence of it existing.

I'm an Agnostic, and here's what would convince me of the existence of the Christian god.
I want Jesus and god to both come down and pay me a visit, show me a few miracles, etc. Then, I need them to sit down on the couch so we can have a long discussion over weather or not this god is as evil as the bible portrays him to be. If he is anything like he is in the bible, he doesn't deserve my worship.

You can have all of the proof of intelligent design of all fauna and vegetation but still be atheist!
I am Raelian, we are an atheist religion that believes in intelligent design. We don't believe that a supernatural God created life but rather a group of scientists. This theory makes more sense to me than a belief in a supernatural God.
Atheist's will wake up to the dogma of evolution when the science of irreducible complexity (proving ID) becomes more widely taught. This is why it should be taught in schools as an alternative theory to how life started on Earth.

i no this doesnt really answer the question but if u ppl would stop asking for proof and open ur eyes and look around ud find enough of it!! and if none of that convinces u in any way shape of form think about this id rather live as if there is a God and die to find out there isnt, than live as if there is no God and die to find out there is. even the devil knows there is a God

Nothing. That quote is exactly right. For those who don't believe, no evidence will work.
The only way most atheists will start to believe in God, is if God Himself comes down and says: "Hello, I'm God. I exist. And the right religion to follow is this one, right here."
There are a few though, that lean towards agnosticism, and they require a little less proof.

THE THINGS YOU MENTION ARE PRODUCTS OF NATURE
there is no proof who created nature
as far as intelligent design--that is debateable
morals are not just products of god
they are products of man and laws
if jesus walked the earth before and revealed his spirit to people he could do it again--NOW
then i would believe

Why must Christians put so much wasted time and effort in trying to convert athiests?
Have you ever heard the saying "If its not broken dont fix it?"
All the forcing of religion does is push people further away. Leave the athiests in peace and I'm sure they will do the same for you.
