every society has to have a code of moral behaviour which most people follow. if not, that society will tear itself apart, or be torn apart by some other society wishing to impose their system of morals. i know a lot of people within most societies have relaxed morals , there is still some agreement on most major issues, such as murder, rape, child abuse, etc.

Of course morals play a role in society. Laws are supposed to be based on generally decent moral standards. Now, laws govern society, so in a way morals govern society. These might not necessarily be your own set of morals; but everyone follows a certain set of morals mostly everyone's opinions being similar for major issues and then get more personalized when it comes to the details. I hope this answers your question because you were vague as to how or why.

Hard to say these days. Morals seems to have been thrown out of the window - anything goes as long as there is no harm to anyone. Political correctness is the law of the land now.

Still, it depends what standard one basis their morals on. I follow the biblical moral standards. Others may not.

I do think most people in this society still expect honesty, integrity, respect and being wholesome, etc. from the people they have to interact with.

a stable society can't exist without "morals".People have to be taught and held accountable for not living by good "morals".No morals would lead to anarchy and the collapse of the society.

Yes they do. I believe in any society there needs to be a structure of morals, including family integrity, personal integrity and integrity in business. I do feel America has a standard, even though there are those seeking to tear it down.

No, I find that it it becoming the ME society, lately. What can I get, and how can I get it, with no regard for morals. Parents
don't teach it to their kids, so they think they deserve everything, and anything, no matter who they have to walk over, or hurt emotionally to get to it.

The young people coming up have dummed down
morals in society today.

How? Oh, they say, if it feels good, do it. They don't
honor any vows they make. They can't be true to one
person. They'll have sex with anyone (even if they don't
know them) They dress immodestly showing most of
their breasts. Their children are crying, screaming little
monsters because of how they raise them. I could go
on and on, but I think you get the drift.
