At my college in Minnesota there is a legend that has that part of one of the dorm buildings and a practice field were built on an old cemetery. A girl is said to be seen hanging from a tree at night by the dorms. I thought it was illegal to build on cemeteries. Am I wrong?

I was watching According to Jim yesterday w/ my Grandma (I do it for her lol... I hate that show), and it was an episode about 2 gay guys and Jim. At the end of the epidsode, Jim says "I hope they feel... Whatever gay men feel for eachother." Or something along those lines.

The episode didn't offend me (I don't really get offended). It got me thinking, though; do most straight people realize that gay people actually love eachother when they're in a relationship, or do they just think its about sex?
I'm gay, so I never have really thought about love from a heterosexual point of view, or what they think of homosexuals' emotional love.

First of all you should now that I am an Atheist but I don't mind people believing in something as long as it isn't harmful to others.People on yahoo answers and in life as well like to ask provoking questions such as:'why doesn't your God do something?' or 'if you are a Christian then tell me what you think about...'; ...
why are some people so intolerant?

Think about it, the church was doing fine for 400 years, it would have continued today.

Luther wouldnt have been able to make his own bible, there wouldnt be crazy fundies hating everyone based on half a book.

Seriously I am convinced that most protestants worship the bible above God and Jesus.

Talk about Catholics petitioning Mary, they call that idolotry which it isint but they think the bible is actually God himself.

why are we made of little tiny chemicals (carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen) and not mud? And why couldn't the big bang be real? Chemicals react with each other to create stuff!

This is a serious question, please don't downgrade me because I feel differently then you. I truely wish to know how you feel about the subject.

lets face it. no matter how much you hammer down on a religion, their people ain't gonna change their mind. Besides, bashing shows that you are a "mean" person and not much people likes mean people. After all, this is America. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. Can't everyone respect that? C'mon. Lets stop this nonsense.

To each his own.

An accuaintance of mine, who was 100% Jewish by both his parents commited suicide - is he now in Hell according to Judaism?
About him: he never killed anyone (except for himself), but he wasn't necessarily a "good" person (although he didn't like to hurt small animals or children or anything like that).
His negative traits were that he was very hateful, jealous, conniving, etc...
So is he now in Hell according to Judaism? If yes - is he there for all eternity? Or what exactly?...

Ok so I've just (today) been reading some of the posts in this forum and it makes me reallly question deeply about God's existence. There have been times before that I questioned this but was always kind of afraid to let it out there. I have never been a "hard core" christian but I grew up believing in God and 2 years ago, I started to read the bible and try to understand. To be honest, I found myself crying alot at night trying to understand and for a moment it seemed like I was going to be okay and the crying and guilt would end but I ended feeling weird.I must admiit sometimes I felt like I was doing the right thing but it didnt stick so..yeah. I dont want to be a bad person at all and want to do what is right. Anyways..This is one of the things that confuse me most. most if not all ppl believe in bad/evil/devil. If thats the case why doesnt evil in turn take over the whole world...and vice versa with God, why doesnt he come forth and save us now..not later..since is he THE ONE?

Has God and Jesus exposed themselves in other religions? Other countries worship a God, who is not to say its not the same God but in a different form? The practice is the same, but the different religions expressing dont see that God may show himself in different ways. As a Christian, who am I to say Budda, Allah and others are not God and Jesus are the same to Christians , but in a different form to other religions?

If so, how could God's one and only true organization be wrong? Rutherford wrote:

"Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection." (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, p. 89)

Often when I hear a recording of myself, i hear myself almost mumbling. I can't fully explain it, but it almost feels like my voice is only coming from the front of my mouth. I seem to skip over some syllables; I feel like I said it, but my mouth just mumbles it.

Does anyone know how I can correct this?
