Has God and Jesus exposed themselves in other religions? Other countries worship a God, who is not to say its not the same God but in a different form? The practice is the same, but the different religions expressing dont see that God may show himself in different ways. As a Christian, who am I to say Budda, Allah and others are not God and Jesus are the same to Christians , but in a different form to other religions?

Ive read some of the respones, this is not a question of belief, but a question of the possibility that God has exposed himself to different cultures and a different form. Not to challenge.

*Is Catholic*

Yes, but not at all in the way you understand it.

It is Catholic teaching, dogmatic, and in Vatican II (Lumen Gentium 14-16), that knowledge of God can be found in other religions and through natural means and reason. God has acted outside of Israel and Christianity. His Spirit draws all to Christ.

HOWEVER, this in no way means that other religions are true or that they worship a "manifestation of God". Rather, what is dogma, is that other religions contain truth, but not the whole truth.

God has revealed Himself ONLY in the Jewish-Catholic faith. Christ is the ONLY way to the Father, the only truth, and the only light.

Now we know that it is not the same god but in a different form because of 3 things: The attributes do not match. The religions are often diametrically opposed to Catholicism. The gods are not rationally gods.

Please see DOMINUS IESUS for more clarity.

read your Scripture and do not fall for the relativity theories being put out there today. If the Gods that were worshipped in the Muslim, Budhist, Hindu, whatever religions were the same God ---HE WOULD TELL THEM TO HONOR JESUS, HIS SON AS THE SAVIOR---THE MESSIAH----HE IS NOT JUST ANOTHER PROPHET. He is not anything short of God himself and any thing that says different is of the evil one. He was a liar from the beginning and he laughs everytime people think like that. Consider what Jesus went through and know what God the Father saw---and you will know that there is no other but Jesus

"By their fruits, you shall know them." (Matthew 7:16) The teachings of non-Christian religions are radically different from Christianity. Only in Christianity does God become man, suffer, and die for our sins. Why would Jesus reveal this to His twelve apostles but keep it a secret from the rest of the world? He didn't. Read Matthew 28: 18-20. Jesus intended His message to go out to ALL nations.

Incidentally, the word "Catholic" means "universal". The Catholic Church is the one founded by Jesus and intended for the whole world.

Jews, Christians (including Catholics), and Muslims all worship the one true God of Abraham.

The extent to which God has revealed himself to other faiths is unknown.

With love in Christ.

There are many pathways to God in my opinion We each just have to find out which door we want to go through. I am pagan and I believe in God of many faces not mans religious puppet show. That works for me but not everyone. Each person should have their own avenue to God and we should have tolerance and not judge.
