the Catholic Church has oral traditions to back up their claims, and also history.

the first Bible-fundies are just fall-away Catholics, and that's the beginning of their existence. in short, their leaders are just rebels who stole the Catholic Church's Bible, tearing the books that don't appeal to them and call the remaining books to be "only God's words", which they are now using against the Church.

anyway, so what makes those Bible-fundies think they're in the right and everybody else are in the wrong? is their incomplete version of the original Bible enough to show that everybody is wrong except the Bible-fundies? isn't that ridiculous?

Is it a wrong spelling? I have no idea. It's meant to be an oral topic "Essen und Enärung". Could you give some examples too. I am learning German as a foreign language.

when he goes to see god, and describes his dwelling place, doesn't it sound too much like a spaceship in heaven(space)?
what do you picture when you read what he describes?

I often hear catholics holler 'protestants, protestants!', ok- so what was Paul? There was no catholicism at the time (just regular paganism)- so are you telling me he wasn't of Christ?

Do you see how ridiculous this sounds now?

No religions necessary, no titles, no man-made structures- just faith in Jesus and His word to be a christian.
.......

And to those who are struggling with comprehending this question- I am simply asking the structure that is Catholicism- was Paul, a believer in Christ- a christian? Because there was no way he was catholic.

It simply exposes how ridiculous it is to assume the catholic church as 'Christ's church', and no one else is christian.

Call Paul a protestant. Call James a protestant. Peter? Don't think a follower of Christ would have you pray to dead people and worship statues.

This is something that has bothered me for sometime. I am pagan, Germanic Heathen to be specific, and my religious belief is that the only way to get to "Heaven" is by doing good deeds and avoiding bad deeds. If you do do a wrong deed you must atone for it in someway, and there are some sins for which there is no way to atone (i.e. you are damned). If you fail to atone you can be punished in this life and the next.

Yet, I have seen others of my belief seen as somehow not as moral as Christians in divorce and other civil cases. Christianity, of course, believes if you repent and ask forgiveness you will be forgiven. But isn't this just a way to get out of being punished for the sin?

So I ask, which is more moral, the idea you must do good deeds to get to a good afterlife, or the idea you must repent and ask forgiveness? Or are they essentially just as good as the other?

According to Isaiah 11:1, the messiah is supposed to be a descendent of King David, yet Jesus' mother Mary is of the house of Levi, not David. That means that Jesus cannot possibly be the Messiah referenced in the Old Testament. What is your opinion on this?

If you try to say that his stepfather Joseph's lineage is good enough, then here is the actual passage "Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse (King David's father) and a branch from his roots will bear fruit". I am sorry, but the New Testament is quite explicit about the fact that Jesus absolutely did not come from Joseph's or any other man's stump. The only human being he was related to was Mary.

Many gay guys that I know have spent time and money shaving, waxing, plucking and depilating their body hair even (and to some especially) their pubic bush ... they will trim it meticulously and some even shave them off completely. It's a mystery to me.
