I'm assuming that Noah, and the people he knew before the flood, could read and write. Can a society survive, without a link with the past, such as written history?

There are so many times when certain straight people claim that homosexuality is immoral because it is not natural. Well, I'd like to know what your idea of "natural" really is. Don't just paste a definition from a dictionary. I want your idea of what natural means in a more personal sense.

You can repent and go to heaven, but that doesn't stop you sinning again.
So therefore heaven will be full of the same sinning humans as were on earth.
What then, is so special about it?
Sorry about all the questions but one leads to another.

How do you feel about religion?

[Looking for answers that deal with personal view on religion as a whole, discussing how their religion works, and if they have no religion, what is their beliefs, etc.]

I don't appreciate religious-bashing, so please refrain from making inappropriate answers.

Im athiest/agnostic, but i want to read the bible so it can help me in literary studies. Many novels have allusion and references of the things in the bible. My english teacher once said knowing the bible(since he was raised catholic) helped him understand the allusions in college, while his college buddies were pretty much clueless. In many books i read, like Inherit the Wind or To Kill a Mockingbird, they have quotes from the King James Bible. Simon in "Lord of the Flies" was an allusion to Jesus's death. I didnt realize that until my friend told me...

But then there are so many versions, and every bible is so long, which should i read? I know many bibles are the same but just different wording and spelling, but im talking about the bibles that have subtle and sublime differences, possible by the author to make us interpret it differently or by their religions way....

List all the different versions of the bible too.

For Christian/Catholics - When Armageddon comes brought upon us by man, do you believe

-that God will save us?

or

-he will simply watch in anguish while we suffer?
[What I mean by this is that while he will try to help us he won't do most of the work for it was man who brought it upon themselves. In short - Do you believe that it has to be man that ends it?]

Your opinion is very well appreciated. Thank You. ^-^.

There's a woman in my department that has been condesending and short with me when I was training and would sometimes refused to help me even though she was supposed to do the training. Very two-faced.
One minute she's cool the next she's talking crap about you behind your back. She's treated me like an idiot.
Today when everybody left the office and it was just her and I she called Human Resources to complain about how she's treated "badly" and that our boss has favorites. All because she wants to start getting off work earlier on our busiest day!!
I called my boss on her cell and told her what I heard. Ofcourse she was very upset.
Do you think what I did was mean or wrong??

Question: If its a 24 hour day and the world is at most 10000 years, how do you explain light years and the fact that astronomers can see 14 billion years into the past in their telescopes?

I'm coming across more and more Christians who say they don't actually find the Bible credible and then others who believe only some of what has been written.
Can you be a Christian and not believe what has been written in the Bible?
Strangely enough, I think NOT believing in the Bible and still being a Christian sounds more credible because it suggests that you “know” God in your heart rather than put your faith in a book which tells you what you are supposed to believe.

Do you go through and thumbs up/thumbs down someone based on their religion instead of their answer? And if you do, is it it most of the time or only some of the time?

And I'm asking you, not (group). You, personally. I don't care what Sammy down the street does or what this group or that group might do.

We all know that Satan is the source of all evil and he will surely go to hell.....

Have you Christians ever thought about the fact that Lucifer was an angel created by God.

There is no way that a creation of God would be innately evil.
Satan basically sinned or rebelled..but is that not what we humans do everyday? Even Christians sin. But if we ask for forgiveness God will forgive us.

Why would Lucifer whom already lost to God not want to repent and ask for forgiveness? Lucifer knows that he can't fight God and he know he will go to hell if he don't ask for forgiveness.

Does it not make sense for him to want to go to heaven?
Since it is only required for him to ask Jesus for forgiveness?

Why would God assume for billions and billions of years that Lucifer would come as the anit-christ and destroy the world?

Lucifer is just a mislead angel who sinned, not an evil spirit.

Why would God not be optimistic and predict that Lucifer would ask for forgiveness?

Some Christians who see the abusubness and impossiblity of the 6 days of creation being literal days like to think that the 6 days of creation is instead not to be taken literarily. They take the verse where it says a thousand years is like a day in God's eye as their basis. But they forgot something. Adam's died at the age of 900 something. If God created Adam on the 6th day and one day equals to 1000 days, then by the end of 7th day Adam would have way surpassed his age??!!! And as a side note, the orginal word "yom" has already been proven to be a 24-hour day by Christians themselves!

When people commit suicide, its only because their life up to that point felt worse to them than dying. Isn't it the ones that say suicide is selfish really the selfish ones because they expect someone whose life is so miserable they would rather die to stick around just so other people can still have them around?

Ok so with that in mind the question is: Do people have the right not to live?
