Yes, that is how people have prophetic dreams, though I'm in the school of thought that your Chackras never close to begin with.

The Third eye you are referring are your eyes itself. Third eye here refers to seeing the supernaturals. Normally every person has a third eye, it just that the third eye is not open. There are persons with third eye that they only knew when they see things that cannot be seen by ordinary people. I would say it is also close when you are asleep.

Depends on if it is open or not at all. Some people get caught up in their lives and it basically closes completely but it can be opened again. Now if you think about it, it is the eye of our spirit in a way right, well it is said that our subconscious is more connected to our souls/spirit so i would say that it probably is. But you should do some research, i could be wrong.

If I had a third eye I would be enlightened--a Buddha. As such, I would be totally aware of everything--my past lives and all events--even when I am in what would appear to be sleep. Unfortunately, I have not reached that level in this lifetime.

The pineal gland is associated with the sixth chakra (also called Ajna or the third eye chakra in yoga). It is also believed that it can be used for telepathic communication. Usually a true telepathic is functioning through evil powers.

once developed, it stays open all the time...it lets you see things in dreams. if you are sleeping, and someone points a pencil close to your third eye, would you feel it?
