I'm assuming that Noah, and the people he knew before the flood, could read and write. Can a society survive, without a link with the past, such as written history?

Well, most nomadic cultures do not place importance on reading and writing. Their histories are handed down orally from generation to generation.

I think that the people could not understand the ancient language. Otherwise, they would have used that to communicate.

The reason of the fell of tower Babel is the peoples want go to attack God to see him to be height like him

Black people survived in America without a link from their past and we wasn't even allowed to read.

no....they were all in shock....most went to make a blood offering to god......it was a time of great confusion. Much like today in churches.
