No God doesn't dominate everything, we always have free will. Heaven isn't a boring place - there is no such thing as boring there - it is glorious. We can have hobbies, interests etc. Many of us have jobs as we do here on earth such as looking after animals, gardeners, teachers, musicians etc. You should read "Life On The Other Side" by Sylvia Browne available from www.amazon.com it gives a fairly detailed account of what life is like in heaven.

It depends on which idea of Heaven you would go to I suppose. There is the eternal city talked about in Revelations. Then there is the idea of a green lucious paradise with fields and streams. There must be some idea of Heaven that is not boring. What if it is like "What Dreams May Come?"

Who says heaven sounds boring? The version in the bible sounds boring but have you investigated other religions or views on what happens after death? The place I am going to will be wonderful...

The place is infinite... you'd never run out of new things to do. And by the time you've gone through a few thousand options, you'll wanna go back and try the first few again.

It is said that all discontent lies in the absence of the presence of God. Therefor, if in God's presence, you could not be bored. You'd be in a perfect state.
However, I don't believe that as soon as you die you are awarded that state. I think you have to evolve through a vast many transformations to attain this.

why would you have a choice of girlfriend and hobbies etc, this is what makes this life so hurtful because we are selfish with our ideas and making other people share them is not what is always best for them. ( you can always do the solo hobbies of course)
This is why heaven does not exist, its too unbelievable to be what you want it to be, its just a selfish notion.
Make the most of this life, be nice to everyone around you and you will get the things that you want because people will want to be around you too.
Who wants to live forever, having an end makes you appreciate what you have while your alive.

I'm not religious but I believe that heaven is whatever your imagination can take, mine would have all my loved ones who have passed on, Sunshine, with no rain and wind, A bottle of southern comfort on tap, with a dash of lime of course, and River Phoenix as my sex b1tch ;0)

My preacher says that you won't remember your time here on earth. You will see your family and friends, but you will know them as your brothers and sisters of the Lord. We will be in the immediate family of God. We will be higher, more powerful than the angels! We will all live in great mansions, and the streets will be paved with gold!
